Excellent chardonnay and Pinots. Our host, Phillip, was extremely gracious and knowledgeable, sharing details about the winery that definitely enhanced our experience. I’ve been wine tasting a TON of times and Vanessa is one of the best servers we have ever had. We hosted a 50 person wedding at Peake Ranch in October 2025 and had the absolute best time. From booking and planning towards the big day, Bette was helpful, thorough and communicative. I had a vision of what I wanted, and Bette was able to connect me with the BEST vendors that had already worked events at Peake, making the coordination that much easier. The day of went seamless, everyone knowing where to be when and the day turned out absolutely fabulous. I highly recommend Peake Ranch winery (and Bette!) for private events. “One of the employees, I think his name was T, greeted me with enthusiasm and was super kind, he helped me choose my favorite wine and when I was done, he helped me carry my stuff to the car. “My husband and I came down for a visit to Santa Barbara from Sonoma. We wanted to experience Santa Barbara’s wines ( made famous by the movie “ Sideways” ) We’re used to exceptional wine produced in our Sonoma valley. Rivahill was a pleasant surprise! I could tell from the outside of their tasting room with their logo and the way the wine was displayed so beautifully, it had to be good ( I was right!) they mainly focus on Rhône varietals. Each crisp, refreshing, and full of fruit and not too heavy ( their Syrah 2016 is exceptional! As are all of their wines!) to summarize, run don’t walk! to Rivahill where you will be made to feel welcome and where you can experience exceptional wines ( yes even by our Valley of The Moon/ Sonoma standards!)“
