It's been a number of years since we were here last but very little has changed and the food and staff are as wonderful as ever. The Hitching Post 2 BBQ has been in Buellton, CA for over 35 years cooking over the same oak fired grill. While locally renowned, its location for scenes and ties to the movie Sideways added to its already following. What a great spot! We love to stop for lunch and a bottle of Pinks. The burger is phenomenal as well as the steak sandwich with caramelized onions! The view is captivating and will keep you sitting for hours! A just stop when on the 246.

Ambiance and space was the best part for sure! Definitely kid friendly and even had a little kid size picnic bench. The wines were good and the service was excellent. Wines were very well explained and pacing was spot on. We will for sure be back. They also have food options but we didn't try them. They looked great though!
