“I rarely—and I mean rarely—write reviews. Frankly, I think most people who dedicate their time to composing them are trying to find meaning in an otherwise empty life.
But, in this singular case, I felt absolutely obligated to mention what an exceptional place Lofi is.
The experience starts with the people: Craig exceeded every expectation, going well out of his way to accommodate a difficult wine pickup schedule. He didn't just listen; he absorbed our preferences and offered insightful, perfect recommendations. The true measure of their quality is this: I don't even like natural wine, and yet, I am now a member of their club.
In a sea of overpriced, overhyped romcom backdrops masquerading as winemakers, Lofi is a breath of fresh air. They champion unique varietals and deliver something truly distinct while maintaining an incredible price point. This is genuine quality and exceptional value.“
“A Tribute to Grace in downtown Los Alamos is an absolute must-visit if you love great wine and even better hospitality. We stopped in to celebrate our anniversary, and the experience couldn’t have been more special.
Joaquin took such great care of us—he walked us through a tasting flight that was thoughtfully curated and absolutely delicious. Every pour was impressive, but the Grenache Blanc truly stood out as one of the best white wines I’ve ever had.
When we mentioned it was our anniversary, Joaquin went above and beyond and surprised us with complimentary bubbles, which made the experience feel even more memorable and personal. That level of hospitality is rare and so appreciated.
If you're looking for a standout wine tasting experience in Los Alamos, A Tribute to Grace delivers on every level. Can’t wait to come back!“
“We’ve been to Tyler Winery twice, and both visits were exceptional. Each time, the experience felt completely personal—you’re the only group tasting, which makes it relaxed, intimate, and truly special.
The wines are the best in the area—beautifully made, elegant, and expressive—and the property itself is absolutely stunning. From the setting to the hospitality to the quality of the wines, everything is first-class. We’ll continue to come back and highly recommend this winery to anyone looking for an outstanding tasting experience.“
“We've been visiting the wineries of the Santa Ynez Valley and the Santa Rita Hills AVA for the past 4-5 years now. This was our first visit to Pence Vineyards, and it did not disappoint! Excellent chardonnay and Pinots. Our host, Phillip, was extremely gracious and knowledgeable, sharing details about the winery that definitely enhanced our experience. Phillip was truly a pleasure; everyone in our family group enjoyed him. If you're visiting the area and a lover of good wine, be sure to put Pence on your itinerary!“
“A beautiful tasting experience. The building and grounds were stunning. The wisteria was blooming and made a lasting impression that was only out done by the wine. We enjoyed the wines and joined the wine club. I think the estate varietals will become some of our go to wines. Highly recommend the rose’, Pinot Noir and Syrah.“
“Had an absolutely amazing time at Brick Barn. I have know been there twice. Each time we were served by Vanessa. I’ve been wine tasting a TON of times and Vanessa is one of the best servers we have ever had. Not only does she care about us, keep checking up on us, she is very knowledgeable about the wines and the entire wine industry. Thank you Brick Barn and Vanessa. We plan on visiting a lot more!“
“Sanford Winery in the Lompoc Valley was the highlight of our Santa Maria wine tasting trip and easily our favorite winery we visited.
The setting alone is stunning—tucked privately between rolling hills with wide-open views and vineyards literally about 10 feet away (easy, AMAZING photo spot!). Sitting outside in comfy chairs by the fireplace while a light rain drizzled felt like something out of a movie. It was peaceful, cozy, and incredibly relaxing.
Both the reds and whites were excellent—a rare win across the board. One of the older gentlemen in our group actually makes his own wine and was genuinely impressed by Sanford’s quality, which says a lot. The wines were reasonably priced, and we happily brought two bottles home—the first and last pours from the tasting menu.
The hospitality really stood out. When some of us got cold, they offered us blankets without hesitation. We never felt rushed; they let us take our time and truly enjoy the experience. Even at the end of the day, when they had run out of charcuterie, they gave us a soft close and let us stay a bit late, which made the visit feel warm and unhurried.
This was our first visit, but it definitely won’t be our last. Between the privacy, the views, the quality wine, and the thoughtful service, Sanford made our vacation feel extra special. We will absolutely be back.“
“Hands down, my favorite producer of wine“
“The most idyllic wine tasting spot! We drove past so many wineries and this one was out of this world - the service and just everything. Super happy about this extraordinary experience! The wines were super tasty as well - highly recommend going there!“
“We chose Babcock Winery after reviewing the website. Our visit was everything we hoped for - a relaxing, casual and informative wine tasting experience. Jason, friendly and knowledgeable, poured the wine while offering facts about the origin of the fruit and the wine makers approach for each wine in the flight. The winery has a large indoor area and comfortable seating. We opted for one of the outdoor shady patio spaces where we could sip and enjoy snacks from home. A bonus was the company of the black winery cat. Two favorites were selected for purchase before we left Babcock Winery, the 2023 Radical Pinot Noir and the 2023 Top Cream Chardonnay.“
“Larry at Dierberg Star Lane Vineyards knows how to make a tasting unforgettable 🍷✨ From Missouri to California pours, every sip was a story worth savoring.“
“Presqu’ile had been recommended many times and so happy we finally made the trip. The mezze picnic lunch was outstanding (a must have - the chef rotates the seasonal menu about once a month), the wines were delish, and we had excellent service from Tom. Felt like we really got to know the place and the wines on a beautiful afternoon. Plus… Walter Anderson prints inside, harkening to the owners southern heritage! Be sure to plan in advance and make a reservation as it’s popular and books out.“
“Absolutely obsessed with this place and it was one of the highlights of our trips! We did horseback riding at 10am with Vino Vaqueros then straight to our wine tasting reservation at Demetria at 11:30am and it was perfect! Logan was the very best and made our experience so delightful. It is the most peaceful place with the best views, shade, and live music! Highly recommend and will be back if ever in the area again!“
“Had a spectacular time at Tomi Cellars. Boyd has some fabulous wines and he shared some interesting facts about winemaking that I hadn't heard before. Out of a day of wine tasting, this was by far my favorite stop of the day. Great service in a cool spot. Highly recommend!“

“We came here after visiting another winery in the morning. The food was great. Beautiful outdoor seating! Our wine tasting person was named Cheryl. She was fantastic! It was a really great experience!“
“Great experience for our first stop in Buellton! Matt was a wealth of knowledge and makes great wines! We had a great time and appreciated the tips he shared with us. He was spot on!!“
“Such a nice place! Bring your own food or snacks, have a seat outside and get a great wine tasting and/or bottled of your choice. Play some cornhole if you want (aiming get‘s better after some wine) and enjoy a pleasant afternoon! Tasting includes five good wines… - thumbs up!“
“Phenomenal wines!. Blake is exceptional and knowledgeable and makes every trip there worthwhile. (They are appointment only.)“
“Definitely worth a visit to see the amazing wine caves, then stay for the great wine!“
“In this very small, unassuming building is the tasting room for one of the Pinot Noir Mount Rushmore winemakers. You can taste Ken Brown’s 50+ years of experience in every glass. Do NOT overlooking this tasting room on your next wine country tour if you’re a Pinot fan.“
“Always a pleasure to drive up, see the beautiful area and pick up my delicious, bold red wine! Plus a few more outstanding ones!“
“I first visited in 2010 during a Stagecoach wine tour. Jeff and his wine were equally amazing. I joined his club that day and remain a member today.
We have since returned several times for tastings and visiting with the horses on his ranch. Each visit has been exceptional. This week we spent a night in the guest house, which is available for rent. The accommodations were excellent, and only overshadowed by Jeff and Joanne's hospitality and generosity. Jeff spent hours riding with my daughter and providing her with invaluable education and training.
If you are considering a wine tasting in Buellton or Solvang, you should go on a tour with Stagecoach and request a visit to Bella Cavalli. If you are looking for a great place to stay in the area, I cannot recommend Bella Cavalli more strongly.“
“Fantastic experience, Danica was an excellent host. They will tailor to/help with finding wines you like. If you’re in the Santa Maria, this stop is well worth your time. We had a blast. Tasting fee of $25 or $35. A great value in my opinion
They took us through a range of different chardonnays and Pinot noirs. We liked every single one of them. Beautiful facility too, with a good view.“
“Amazing wine, amazing view, amazing service!!!“
“Spectacular architecture combined with perfect hospitality resulting in a beautiful experience.
The wines are fantastic, especially the “cool climate” Syrah and Grenache”! Our host and proprietor, Pierre is both meticulous and passionate about his project and it shows; unforgettable experience.“
“My husband and I came down for a visit to Santa Barbara from Sonoma. We wanted to experience Santa Barbara’s wines ( made famous by the movie “ Sideways” ) We’re used to exceptional wine produced in our Sonoma valley. Rivahill was a pleasant surprise! I could tell from the outside of their tasting room with their logo and the way the wine was displayed so beautifully, it had to be good ( I was right!) they mainly focus on Rhône varietals. Each crisp, refreshing, and full of fruit and not too heavy ( their Syrah 2016 is exceptional! As are all of their wines!) to summarize, run don’t walk! to Rivahill where you will be made to feel welcome and where you can experience exceptional wines ( yes even by our Valley of The Moon/ Sonoma standards!)“
“Delightful and very informative private wine tasting! While we toured four wineries, this is the one where most wine purchases were made. Thoroughly and consistently great wines. The owner gave us detailed information on each of her wines and gave us her personal perspective on each. Highly recommended!!“
“My husband and I recently visited the tasting room and the hospitality is unmatched! Barbara was so kind! On their website it says reservation only but we were able to walk right in!!
They had two different tasting flights, one that was reds only and another that was a mix of reds and whites. I prefer red wines so I was thankful to see that offered in this area. We ended up getting three different bottles of their reds since we couldn't decide on just one. The prices are very reasonable! They even have a really cute merchandise area that's very well curated. Drinking wine and shopping?! The perfect pair! I'll be visiting again very soon! If you site on the patio, there are beautiful views of the Santa Ynez valley.“

“What an amazing space and not to mention amazing wine to go with it. Sitting down for an afternoon tasting on the back patio was truly delightful, hands down best place to have a glass of wine or three in Los Alamos! The staff was very helpful and we ended up enjoying the wine so much we took some home...Pinot Noir '14 was definitely a treat.“
