“What an amazing space and not to mention amazing wine to go with it. Sitting down for an afternoon tasting on the back patio was truly delightful, hands down best place to have a glass of wine or three in Los Alamos! The staff was very helpful and we ended up enjoying the wine so much we took some home...Pinot Noir '14 was definitely a treat.“

“This place is incredible! We came for a (pre-booked! Important!) tasting session, and it's the best wine tasting experience we've ever had. Linda guided us through the tasting as well as the history of the wine maker and the estate with a lot of knowledge and passion. The wines are fabulous, and the vibe of the house and surroundings are incomparable.“
“Truly enjoyed our Harvest Hands visit. Chad Melville and the wine making staff is very informative and lots of fun. Wines are elegant and well balanced starting with their farming practices and continues throughout their wine making process. “We came for the Friday live-music happy hour with young children and had a very enjoyable experience. I found it to be extremely kid friendly, or at least welcoming. In the parking lot, we passed a departing staff member and I confirmed I could bring children (a lot of wineries don’t permit children), and he said of course and pointed out the grassy areas as well as recommended the seasonal chocolate chip cookies (which were REALLY good albeit $5/pop). When we got inside a staff member was very friendly in explaining how the happy hour works (outside of happy hour it’s by reservation only but Friday evenings first-come, first-serve for seating). She was very nice and friendly when I asked if it was okay I brought food for my kids (normally they don’t allow outside food but can be flexible for kids// I expected this and had just brought them each a discrete snack box with their dinners). View was gorgeous at 6 pm. We enjoyed the live music… and actually wished she had played more. We tried the Chardonnay and Syrah as the website specified they specialized in those as well as Pinot. We also enjoyed the seasonal flat bread. Most groups seemed to go for a bottle of wine. This attests mostly to the kid-friendly nature of the event but there were a couple other groups with small children, diverted by coloring etc and mine enjoyed walking around the flowers and looking for bugs. Overall, everyone was very nice and everything was delicious and the atmosphere was very chill and relaxing for a Friday evening. I would definitely go back for the Friday evening happy hour.“

“On a sun-drenched day in February, we stood with Wes Hagen in the vineyards and soaked in the beauty of the Santa Maria hillside. After our vineyard trek, we sat in the recent homestead of James Ontiveros and tasted some very special Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays and yes, even some Cabs from Native 9 / Ranchos de Ontiveros.I can’t imagine a better way to enjoy your day than spending it with Wes, along with a glass of wine, while he shares the rich and storied history of Santa Barbara wine country. His knowledge of the surrounding soils and terroir completely elevated the tasting for us.Carve out some time for your own deep-dive into the wonderful world of Native 9 / Ranchos de Ontiveros wines; it’s worth the trip!“

“We fell in love at the first tasting! The wine is great, and we love the tasting rooms open and airy modern barn feel. We try to bring all of our guests out to enjoy the beautiful weather, great wine, and amazing staff. Jessica is a treasure and so friendly and knowledgeable. Our favorites are the pinots, but they have a decent selection of white wine if you are into such things... we are not, but I guess we can take one for the team and enjoy a glass or 2 of the whites.“

“This spot is in a lot with other wine tasting rooms and it’s a solid spot. This review is from a casual wine drinker.I just had their tasting that had about 6-7 wines and it was a solid set of offerings. The interior was very welcoming and the outside patio is a good spot to take a date. Overall the wines were very good and solid customer service from Matt.I’d definitely come back again to try their future wines.“
“My group called in on a whim to see if we could drop in for a few glasses of wine towards the end of the day - the team at Pence made it no problem. Twenty minutes later, we were greeted with a stunning, hilly vineyard and Tim, our host for the afternoon! He was incredibly welcoming, funny, and patiently gave us the rundown on each of the wines. The 2021 Rosa Estate Chardonnay is out of this world!“

“Sanford does Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and they do it right! We stopped in and sampled their wines enjoying both the vin and the lovely location in the Santa Rita Hills. Beautiful afternoon and tasting. Avoid the weekend crowds if you can and you'll have the place to yourself...the song of the wind and the pleasure of some of the finest wine the Central Coast produces.“
“This tasting was our last stop on an amazing wine tour crafted by Jefff from Surfs up Limo. Tomi cellars was a beautiful end to a great day , Boyd is so passionate in his craft of wine making that his wine speaks for itself . He provided us with such an experience that we will never forget and we are truly grateful.“

“It's been a number of years since we were here last but very little has changed and the food and staff are as wonderful as ever. The Hitching Post 2 BBQ has been in Buellton, CA for over 35 years cooking over the same oak fired grill. While locally renowned, its location for scenes and ties to the movie Sideways added to its already following. A varied menu with lots of choices and most everything is cooked on their very large and open, oak fired grill. Aaron was a great server and had the numerous specials memorized to perfection. A relish-tray, garlic bread, soup or salad and your choice of starch are included. Never have had a poor meal or poor service. They are busy and reservations are a must even if you are dining early (closed Tuesdays). The have a great winery with their own label and have added a tasting room next door that also does a simple lunch menu Monday-Sunday. I will say it is looking a little worn and in need of a little TLC here and there but the food and service remain as good as ever.“
“A local recommended we visit Babcock and we LOVE the place. We had a hard time choosing a favorite wine as it was all so good. And exploring the big tasting room / barn filled with vintage treasures was so much fun. We recommended some friends stop by the following week while they were traveling in the area and they loved it as well. Babcock is a "must taste" when you are in the area!“

“One of the employees, I think his name was T, greeted me with enthusiasm and was super kind, he helped me choose my favorite wine and when I was done, he helped me carry my stuff to the car. “Delightful and very informative private wine tasting! While we toured four wineries, this is the one where most wine purchases were made. Thoroughly and consistently great wines. The owner gave us detailed information on each of her wines and gave us her personal perspective on each. Highly recommended!!“
“I am a wine club member here. This place remains true to the term " boutique winery" the surrounding area of Santa Ynez is growing in tourist visits to all the wineries and vineyards. But Tres Hermanas Winery sits nestled adjacent Santa Ynez in Santa Maria. It is absolutely a peaceful, Serene, beautiful. I highly recommend the Pinot Noir ,Sangiovése and the Sadie Cuveé which are my favorites. The picnic area is ample, lush and with beautiful views of the Syrah Vineyards and surrounding mountains. It is for me one of the premier places for a tasting and picnic with out huge crowds which have been growing fast within this last year. Whoever is reading this, please check this place out.“
“Our second visit to Bella Cavalli, a beautiful farm, vineyard, and horse property. The owner, Jeff, greeted us and took us thru 7 wines. He helped us arrange a private horse back riding lesson for our two daughters, ages 11 and 13 while my wife and I enjoyed the wines. We really enjoyed all the wines, especially Colts 4th Show. A pleasant, private two hour experience. A must stop when visiting, 5 mins outside of Solvang.“
“The lady (manager, blonde hair) was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our many questions pertaining to each of the wines sampled. She made the wine tasting memorable! 5 tastings at $10 per person. We sat outside on the patio because it was warmer than inside! This was a random stop for us on our way to the Bay Area but I'd definitely recommend this place for anyone not wanting to be one of many, but wanting more of a quiet and relaxing setting.“
“Discovered this place on the wine trolley. Even better than the wine, which is already pretty good is the gorgeous views of this winery. There weren't many people there when we went and that combined with the views of nature made this place an almost meditative experience. The staff was friendly and treated us kindly.“

“Natural wines are at their best here. Time to stop thinking this is a trend. This is a winery you need to know about. The wine is stellar and I highly recommend the Cabernet Franc “Coquelicot vineyard” to go alongside an Italian Deli sandwich of prosciutto and burrata with some oil and vinegar, salt an pepper! A little bit of heaven. ????“
