Phil greeted us with some wonderful rose wine as we toured the grounds and learned about the winery's history and production. Tasting area is beautiful both indoors and out.

“This is an amazingly beautiful estate with fantastic wine. My group of girlfriends celebrated our 40th birthdays and took a tour with Sustainable Wine Tours. We were brought here and it was a highlight of our trip. We were able to get a case of this fantastic wine to ship home. The cabernet was delightful, but the staff and estate was beyond memorable. “Superb experience at Roblar Vineyards from the moment we entered and it continued through our departure. The hostess was kind, efficient and caring when seating us. Then on to the service that we chose - a wine tasting and lunch (we had made reservations) We received pleasant and informative wine descriptions from our knowledgeable sommelier with each taste and the proper improvised wine-taste choice that he knowingly paired with my meal! Our meals, the roast salmon and a Cobb salad were perfection enhanced with their high standard of farm fresh vegetables. As we finished, feeling totally content and enjoying the ambiance of soaring ceilings of the timber frame tasting room with the massive fireplace warming our souls, we were visited by Matt, the owner. We had an engaging chat, with him entailing the history of the vineyard and its ongoing development of the vines, the farm and the buildings. Finally, we walked the beautiful estate grounds past the active vegetable gardens to the edge of the vineyards enjoying mountain scenery all around. A memorable experience with perfect food, wine, and caring people!

“We stopped by Sunstone Winery on a girls’ trip, and it was the perfect spot to relax! The property is beautiful, with a large outdoor seating area—some shaded, some in the sun—and fun games like cornhole and tic-tac-toe. It’s also pet-friendly, with several people enjoying the day with their dogs. The charcuterie box was deceptively good—while it looked informal, it had a great selection of cheeses that paired perfectly with the wine. The staff was accommodating and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We arrived around 11 a.m., and by the time we left, it was bustling with couples and friends enjoying tastings. The ambiance was wonderful, and we loved soaking up the sun. Highly recommend!“

“I casually booked a tasting out here because YOLO and I love wine and a good atmosphere. Worth it. They were so lovely and welcoming and previous reviews are correct in the Tuscan estate vibe. Not exact, but definitely reminiscent. The olive trees stood out this time of year. It was such a lovely estate I found myself spending the extra time to enjoy my wine and conversation with Susan as an excuse to stay. Additionally, any good excuse to stock up on wines before leaving the area and heading to a less delicious part of the country for a time! Overall, its worth it and its especially worth feeling like you have the time to unwind and relax is a less pressured or impersonal environment like the tasting rooms in Los Olivos. Wine bar vibes are nice sometimes, but feeling like you're connecting with the place your wine came from is better still and this was a lovely opportunity for it and to chat with the people that know the land best.“
