They were closed, but the door was open. There were 5 people already tasting and it stayed that many visitors until I left an hour later. Owner and wine maker Larry Schaffer was there talking about his wine and educating the visitors. He has an amazing wealth of knowledge about the wine industry and he answers all the questions you can think of. I have known him for many years, and still learn something every visit. First visit today and we had a very friendly, chill tasting thanks to Darla. Larry wasn't there so we didn't get to meet him. Their tasting room is perfectly located in the middle of Los Olivos. Tasting fee is $25 but waived with purchase of two bottles. The wines were very nice and predominantly white. We didn't inquire about the wine club but noted you save about 50% on their prices by being a member. We enjoyed most of the wines but we found them to be very light in general....read full review

This is a smaller tasting room, but nicely laid back. Becca loves sharing what she knows about wine and learning about what works for YOU and why. Prolly would have gone home with a few bottles anyway but Becca made the experience even better. Plus they feature plenty of unusual varietals. Malvasia? Never even heard of it!
