The environment they’ve created is so vibey with a beautifully appointed cottage, deck and garden area. “How do we even begin to express our LOVE for Sunshine and her Future Perfect wines? My partner and I happened in one afternoon while stopping in the area for lunch. As we entered the amazing shop we knew we had found our people. We were greeted with such warmth, but what really blew us away were the WINES! I'm embarrassed to admit we are wine snobs, so tasting the bubbles they were pouring was a shock. They were so delicious! We have basically become super-fans, and stop there every time we are in Los Olivos now. We can't stop talking about Sunshine and her crew. We were lucky enough to be a part of their street fair, and couldn't believe the kindess and warmth of the people in the area. With this and even beyond into the fancy-pants lattes and holiday drinks, Queen Cup is always sure to tip the balance toward the beans — making certain the presence of coffee shines above all else. “The wines are phenomenal, thus why my wife and became members a few years ago. This Gleason Family winery is also a very attractive and amazing facility. The grounds are beautiful, and the tasting room gets you right into the ranch vibe. The staff that work here are by far the reason we love to come. There is a lot of amazing wine in the valley but it is the people wine educators and the rest of the staff that make this place the one you want to come to. The staff here to include Dean, Janet, and a special shout out to our special Susan all make us feel like family. We try and make the drive up whenever we can to visit and see our friends here at Refugio Ranch. Thanks again to all of you for making this place a wonderful spot to spend our weekends. They also have the private Ranch tasting at the vineyard for members which is a very special treat. If you are in the area please come in and visit!“

“We’ve been coming here for years and always make it a point to stop by whenever we’re in the area from Texas. The wines are consistently excellent, and the Pinot Noir is always a favorite. It really captures what makes this region so special—beautifully balanced, elegant, and full of character.

What keeps us coming back, though, is the tasting experience. The owners are incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about wine. Michael has a great way of sharing insights about the vineyards, winemakers, and the region without ever making it feel overwhelming. Every visit feels both enjoyable and educational.

“My husband and I absolutely loved our visit to Beckmen Vineyards. The five wines we tasted were the best and our host was so friendly, fun and informative. Our tasting was at noon and we had stopped to pick up sandwiches at Los Olivos Grocery and they were also top notch. All in all, a wonderful experience.“

“I wish I could give 10 stars to Story of Soil. The tasting experience is fabulous and will inspire you to join their wine club. As a member, I am thrilled to get my shipment every few months. I’ve loved every bottle - the complex flavors reflect the various vineyards and I appreciate the single varietal/single vineyard approach. Truly incredible wine making!!“

“This is a smaller tasting room, but nicely laid back. Becca loves sharing what she knows about wine and learning about what works for YOU and why. Prolly would have gone home with a few bottles anyway but Becca made the experience even better. Plus they feature plenty of unusual varietals. Malvasia? Never even heard of it!“

“In the vast sea of tasting rooms Lefty's is an adorable little palate cleanser and the best coffee shop to trade your wine glass in for a coffee and snack.
It's a local gem that I selfishly I hope doesn't blow up but deserves to.

The staff is so friendly and welcoming, it's become its own little community.

During the week it's the perfect place to meet with friends to catch up, or sit outside in the backyard and dive into a nice book. The weekends are more lively and it's fun to meet various tourists escaping the craziness of town.

I default to the cafe latte and granola-the mix is fantastic.

Also the puzzle corner is adorable and despite my ability to effectively contribute it seems to make good progress but please help when you stop by.

“If you are visiting Solvang CA, it is worth the short drive to visit this tasting room. We were delighted by our wine steward Izzy, who really took time to answer all of our questions. “Absolutely obsessed with this place and it was one of the highlights of our trips! We did horseback riding at 10am with Vino Vaqueros then straight to our wine tasting reservation at Demetria at 11:30am and it was perfect! Logan was the very best and made our experience so delightful. It is the most peaceful place with the best views, shade, and live music! Highly recommend and will be back if ever in the area again!“

“I've driven by here many times, passing Zaca Mesa for other tastings. With a late start and no particular plans, we stopped by later in the afternoon. This winery is an absolute gem. We tried the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir tasting, and thoroughly enjoyed every pour. The tasting room staff were friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. We'll definitely be back here!“

“Super awesome staff! Colbi was amazing, and was very understanding about my allergies, and acted with great care. Colbi let us review their ingredient lists, and was very accommodating. There was a lot of seating space, but there was nearly always someone waiting on a table, because of their high customer count, but the food is worth the wait! The portions are big, and it's evident that they make each sandwich with great love and care– also you can watch them make them lol. This shop is filled with lots of passion and energy, so just remember that quality takes time. If your order is slow to arrive, it just means that someone else is getting the love and attention that they deserve~“
