“PCH is a quiet quint little bar, with games, and good people, Friday night is karaoke, very intimate, but the people that come there, love good beer, good wine, and a good time. The owner is very kind and accommodating. For a quiet night or maybe some karaoke on Fridays. 10/10 highly recommend.“

Montemar Wines Wineries • $$

“Montemar is the quintessential Sunday wine sipping destination. With a secret garden like backyard that goes on for days, you'll find quiet coves for private conversations and stages for fun shows. It's the ultimate in a fully functional "backyard retreat"We brought our dog June, in an effort to give her June-cation deux. Recently her big brother Jackson had passed and she was left quite distraught. We figured a weekend out with numerous pets and lovers from fellow wine lovers would brighten her day. And boy did it. Montemar was a last minute addition to our schedule. We hadn't even planned on staying the night but did last minute when we found a great hotel deal that included dogs. I had been curious about the Lompoc wine scene for ages and this was the perfect opportunity. Lucky for us it was a quiet Sunday afternoon and June was given free reign of the backyard. We tasted a few flights and then opted to share a bottle of the Grenache blanc Pet Nat - perfect for a balmy Late fall afternoon. We loved the chill vibe here and would recommend to anyone with low energy pets. We can't wait to return and try out more wines and literally just chill and hang. It's such a peaceful environment for that!“

“I have come here for several years worth of office lunches and have always received great service and good food. The serving staff have always been not just helpful but delightful people. The food is typically out pretty quickly and it's rarely difficult to find seating for a large group if you go early in the lunch period. The servings of food are decently large and the food is good. I'm already a fan of the diner vibe, but this place has always done even better. Their cross cut fries are excellent and crispy, their sandwiches are all very good, and their breakfast items are super filling. Definitely add this to your list of restaurants to try while you're in the area.Parking: The parking lot's never really been full so you shouldn't run into any issues finding parking near the restaurant. The last time I went it had been a while since the parking lot had been redone, so it can be a bit difficult at times to gauge where the parking spaces are actually supposed to be.“

Camins 2 Dreams Winery •

“I love this women-owned and LGBT friendly business! Settled in the heart of Lompoc's wine trail, it's easy to find and literally has parking right out front. All of the wines on their tasting menu are delicious! We had such a nice time sitting by the barrels and learning about how each of their wines came to be. The owners are super friendly too!“

Kessler-Haak Wines Winery •

“Amazing winery, even more amazing owners. Dan and Ellen made our visit to the winery so special and enjoyable. It really felt like we were friends they were having over to their house just to enjoy wine for a couple of hours. Amazing Pinots, I could not choose a favorite! We were in town just for the weekend celebrating my birthday and even left with a special gift, and of course a few bottles. :) Definitely add Kessler-Haak to your list to visit!“

Lost Chord Guitars Pet Friendly •

“So at first I would have rated poorly based on service. Turns out there was a reason, I'm extremely happy the owner of Sear Steakhouse told me my impression of Lost Cord was abnormal. Therefore, this review would have been a 1 but we tried again. Arwen was outstanding. She even let us chill while they were cleaning up. From my experience this is normally reserved friends or regulars. We were nether so I'm even more appreciative to be treated with such hospitality. Kudos to this small, local treasure. The music was also beautiful.“

Pali Wine Co. Wine Ghetto Winery • $$
1501 E Chestnut Ct, Lompoc

“Another Lompoc find on a last-minute June-cation part deux. We had just finished up next door and headed on over to Pali. We checked with the lone server if pups were okay and he happily let us in. In fact, his own adorable rescue pooch (with a Lifetime Original backstory to boot) was also present. It was a quiet Sunday. Just us and another group that was finishing up their tasting experience. We opted for just one tasting, because we are responsible folks and someone has to drive (aka Paco). At the urging of our server, we let him decide on the flight - always a great option when you can mix and match. Starting with an orange wine, it brought me back to Mexico City summers. It's not for everyone, but there's something nostalgic about this Orange Muscat, Gewurztraminer, and Pinot Noir blend. Paired with some fresh ceviche, this will be a fantastic wine on a hot day. We tried several versions of their Pinot Noir and were pleasantly surprised at the notes. The 2019 Pali was a real winner. In all, we enjoyed this no frills wine experience. It reminded me of how wine tasting used to be back in Paso 15 years ago. If low-key, pet friendly, and chill wineries are your vibe don't miss out on Pali.“
