Amazing place, solid breakfast, lunch and dinner menu!! Plus the wait staff was super attentive!
Stopped by at Dave's Place after spending much of the day at La Purisima State Park. It's only about a 10 minute drive from the state park and perfect for an end of day meal. Showed up around 4, so depending on your point of view, we had either a very late lunch or a very early dinner. Either way I'm so glad we went because the place is excellent. Dave's Place is a fantastic restaurant with a retro style American diner setting and beautiful views. The vibe is charming, lively, and fun. The staff is amazing, friendly, and helpful, providing true 5-star service. The food is delicious with generous portions. Excellent smoked meats include prime rib with a smoked flavor, beef ribs that are fall off the bone delicious, baby back ribs, and a BBQ combo plate. Other menu items include tri tio, chicken fried steak, clam chowder, veggies, salad, chicken soup, garlic toast, whipped potatoes, corn, onion rings, and a delicious vegan breakfast dish with veggies and potatoes. The service is outstanding, with staff like Marcus who makes the best fresh lemonade, and manager Heather who handles issues with grace. The bartender Cynthia is phenomenal, knowledgeable, and kind. This hidden gem is worth the drive, and on Sundays guests can go from breakfast to the farmers market next door.
