“This wine tasting villa was welcoming with stunning views and well-informed sommeliers. The Cab Franc was to die for but the Sauvignon Blanc, Malbec and Zin were worthy and tasty against any. Coleson was friendly and knowledgeable. The lunch was extremely tasty. Overall it was worth the side trip as we traveled from Santa Cruz back to LA.“
“Such a unique tasting experience with the addition of the spiced cheeses! We had a great time and learned so much from Nick who was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. “We first discovered Copia in 2020 and instantly fell in love with all the wine and everyone that works there! We come back at least once a year and each time there's something new, they're always growing, and their passion grows with them! The small band of employees remember you and make sure you're having a great time. I love the Source, it's my favorite red, and my husband like the White. I would recommend doing their wine food pairing, it's like little gourmet plates that bring out the wine so so well! This is our first wine membership, and we're so happy with our choice!“
“We landed here for an after dinner drink and had a lovely time. We had a delicious cider that I would order again in a heartbeat, but I enjoyed the bar tender most - she was funny, friendly, helpful, and made some great suggestions for the places to visit while here.“
“This is a true hidden gem worthy of seeking out when you're in Paso.I was lucky enough to be hosted by the winemaker himself during my tasting! The wines are exceptional, and as a big fan of Grenache the tasting I got to enjoy really delivered! Plus, having the winemaker there to share the story was magical.They say the devil's in the details, but at Cairjn you can tell that they've thought of ALL of those details, from the interesting labels and icons on each wine to the cork they use. I have a feeling their story is going to be very fun to watch unfold!!“
“We had a lovely anniversary at the vineyard. The staff was extremely kind and accommodating. The grounds were beautiful and we had a lot of fun exploring the area. The owner himself spent a lot of time talking with us, giving us the history of the vineyard, and sharing stories with us. It had such a homey feel and the wine was pretty good as well! We also liked it because it was further away from the hustle and bustle of Paso Robles and it really felt like a retreat. It was a fantastic place to stay and I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.“
“Isolated small campus villa where the grapes are grown, and the rooms are really nice. There are two Tesla home chargers available for EVs. Complementary breakfast was excellent, served buffet style and crafted by their chef. Notably, bacon pancakes were airy and had structure to keep them light. Other morning treats make the breakfast a multi act show. Highly recommend.“
“I'm obsessed! The wine, service, and grounds are nothing short of outstanding. Ascunsion Ridge is a small operation run by beautiful, honest people that love what they do. Each wine I sampled was complex and beautifully balanced. Everything was beyond my expectations and I loved my time here so much I couldn't help but sign up for a membership. “We spent a lovely afternoon tasting wines with Ed, who was knowledgeable and generous with his time. Loved the family feel of the vineyard. Wines were excellent. We ended up joining the wine club. We will return! Highly recommend making this one of your stops when in Paso.“
“An absolutely amazing winery both for wines and vibe. Generous pours, reasonably priced bottles and tasting, and very family friendly. This was me and my wife’s first experience in Paso Robles and it remains the best so far. Would highly recommend and I will be back with friends and more family!“
“Hidden gem of a tasting room in the heart of Paso RoblesIf you're walking on the sidewalks, you will miss this one unless you keep a sharp eye for signs pointing to it. This wineries tasting room is a small but cozy room with the entrance opening on a parking area. Next door to Jeffrey s Wine Country BBQ.The counter service here is friendly and informative. Their tasting flight makes it really difficult to pick just one varietal. I bought five bottles, this being the only white wine. I never buy white wine or rosé. This one changed all that.Their Rozanne Pinot Noir Rosé is the only white wine I will drink. I bought only one bottle of that to bring home and four others of their traditional Pinot Noirs that I tasted and really enjoyed! I will update this post once I open those bottles.I have checked at another large chain here that sells wine and more. They don't carry it so it looks like a road trip is in order to restock on the Rosé. I might need to sign up for the wine club on this one. ?. Ship it to me, please and thank you!“
“Came with a large group and had the most perfect afternoon learning about the owners style of winemaking and cider making. His kids were out and about and it made for a really welcoming experience. The ciders were amazing and we took home a bottle to have at our wedding the following week. Loved it!“
“Steve and Pam are the best hosts you could ever ask for. They have such a love for people and wine, it is quite apparent. As they can tell you (as our time there was spent relishing their company and getting to know one another) we were there to celebrate our wedding and have a little coastal miniMoon. The views are incredible’ They have a gem of an intimate place. It’s honestly flawless. The secret is out, but they don’t charge for their tasting. But that doesn’t matter because you’ll want to buy a bottle or two, they’re just that good. Almost as good as their company. I feel like I made new friends! See you next time!Other notes:They are very dog friendly and they provided homegrown and home-brined (delicious) olives and crackers.Again, they are the sweetest owners and couple and they do everything themselves. Organic and self-blended. Just amazing.“
“Such a fun experience at McPrice Myers! Adriane was a fantastic ambassador for the brand, and we loved the wine. Because it was raining our tasting was in their stock room with the barrels of wine (no frills, for lack of a better term) and it was so refreshing to see a winery so grounded and down to earth! “Nice little place, simple tasty wines with the old world flair. I'm more of a "red" drinker so I cannot really comment about their white. It was ok for me but again white sweeter type of wine isn't my thing. We moved on to taste the rest of the lineup. The second one on the list was such an easy drink. I visualized an everyday dinner drink with my family. As we moved on, Fernando was explaining the different varietals of blends in the wine. Each tasting became more dry as we moved through the tasting list (which was what I was looking for - thanks). The whole experience was really enjoyable and Fernando was a true host and entertained our small group. I left there impressed by the wines they offered and will definitely recommend them to friends passing through town.“
“We sampled a few wine tasting spots in town, and this one is by far the best. They have the best sampling options and varieties from their boutique vineyard.We really liked the vibe. There were a lot of locals in the shop who have memberships, and had a great time getting to know everyone. I’d say hands down this tasting room has the biggest bang for your buck. “Definitely worth the side trip. Our pourer was knowledgeable and fun to chat with. The tasting room is very nice and well stocked. The grounds are so pretty. They are doing very interesting things with grapes. Of course we couldn't leave without buying a couple of bottles.“
“Had a great tasting with really good service. The gal pouring the wine was knowledgeable and easy to speak with. We enjoyed Pianetta and would highly recommend everyone check if out. It's not fancy inside, but they are reasonably priced and provide nice value for good wine. Check it out!“
“I don't always love going to tasting rooms in town. I like going out the rooms right at the vineyard. But this one had good reviews so we gave it a try. The room is charming, a former train station office with high ceilings and nice furniture and bar. We have discerning taste when it comes to wine, and these incredible blends of Grenache, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Mourvedre, Tannat, etc were really out of this world. We bought 4 bottles after our excellent tasting session with Jim. May join the club in the future. Highly recommend!“

If you're looking for something different than your basic tasting, must do the estate tour. They also have new experiences coming in the future that we'll definitely be back for!“

“Always a wonderful experience!!! Melani is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet and really coming into her own as a talented wine maker. Each vintage is a joy to savor and especially while visiting her extended family...human and animal! Gilbert and her Grandpa are likely to steal your heart. Beautiful place and delicious wine makes this a must go to destination.“
