“Excellent wine! Loved them all! 🍷“
“My cousin & i were so Blessed to have visited Bon Niche Cellers this past weekend!! What a beautiful place. The warm, friendly atmosphere was wonderful.. The dedication & joy Melani pours into her delicious wines was so evident. She is an artist creating a wide range of balanced fine wine! Bring your dog & enjoy the view on the patio & sip some sunshine!! You may even get to feed Joey & Ruby their carrots!“
“Great wine selection and every wine was great. Each wine label is creative and has a special meaning behind it. Love their cause supporting wounded veterans and rescue dogs. This winery definitely has heart and it's like no other. If you've never been here before, you need to come check it out!“
“Cinquain winery has a great selection of powerhouse wines on the full spectrum. Be sure to make an appointment with them on your next visit to Paso Robles and stop in for a a tasting. You won’t be disappointed.“
“Angela, the owner was/is awesome. Her daughter, the manager, super lovely. The wine… superb. Maybe the best we’ve had all weekend. You can actually taste the flavors suggested in the wine notes. The strawberry. The watermelon. All of them. A “should” visit when coming to Paso.“
“Put this on your list if you’re visiting Paso! 10/10 we loved the whole vibe. Gorgeous views from their outdoor spaces, rolling hills and vineyards in the distance while you sit under a beautiful oak and listen to a fountain. We loved every wine in our flight, and the price was right! I think our servers name was Buck or Brock, so knowledgeable and helpful! Adored the whole experience!“
“Always fun, always great wine and great food and great staff.“
“We were blown away by our visit to the Cairjn Wine Cellar. Aside from great tasting wine, Victor took the time to tell us the Cairjn story, explain the wine making process, and take us on a tour. Even the owner, Andy, was able to break away from winemaking to meet with us. The experience and wine was simply fantastic. In a few years, Cairjn will be the next big brand coming out of Paso, just ask the locals. If you are in Paso Robles and want to have an excellent wine tasting experience, you must visit the Cairjn wine cellar. Make sure you tell Lola hello as well!“
“🙂Knowledgeable friendly staff“
“This winery provided a 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon for our local nonprofit event and it was absolutely delicious. We appreciate the subtle flavors and generosity!“
“Wine tasting was fabulous! Everyone was so friendly and informative about the wine.“
“This was my first stop in Paso Robles and it was such a great experience! I went there by myself and did the Jeep tour which was a great way to go around the vineyards and get beautiful views (and baby deers running around!!). Then I did the wine tasting sitting on the patio and got to chat with Cindy and Dennis who told me many stories about the family and Paso Robles in general. It was a lovely time, I highly recommend it!“
“There's something about visiting Alta Colina that feels less like a tasting and more like coming home. From the moment you arrive, Bob, Maggie, Melissa (and Jesse!) make you feel like part of the family. It's not just friendly service; it's genuine care and attention that turns every visit into something fun!
The wines are thoughtfully made; fresh, expressive, and clearly crafted with intention rather than ego. Bob and Maggie embody that same philosophy: humble, kind, and effortlessly welcoming in a way that's increasingly rare.
And Melissa? She elevates the entire experience. Attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without being pretentious...she just gets it.
If you're looking for a place that pairs excellent wine with warmth and authenticity, this is it. We love you guys!“
“An excellent and personal experience with stunning views and wonderful down to earth people. Wines ranging from whites to rosé’s to red, both light to exceptional on the pallet. Out of five stars, I give Loma Seca winery 10.“
“Lovely couple and made a trip really memorable talking to them and being so knowledgeable about the wines. Thanks Nikki.
A good deal for tasting at 20 dollars each and then we brought 2 wines so only paid for one tasting.
Would recommend a visit.
I hope they both get to the UK one day to see Wrexham x We will enjoy the lovely when when we get to Bakersfield!“
“Am a white wine drinker , but I loved all of the reds ! Am now a wine club member !“
“An umami pairing experience with LXV Wine and Bakersfield’s Noodle Bar. LXV owners and the chef from Noodle Bar matched the wines and meals perfectly👌🏼Pairings with LXV Wine is a must do experience!“
“Such an incredible place! The whole property has a magical quality- makes you think their products are made by fairies! The Limoncello is too die for, but very limited seasonal runs. Jen, doing the pouring, was lovely and knowledgeable. Alex, the maker, is always gracious and happy to see you. Can't recommend enough, for so many reasons!!!“
“If you're a wine enthusiast looking for something truly special, Diablo Paso is a must-try. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you! Be sure to ask for Deb when you visit the tasting room. She’s incredibly friendly and can provide expert guidance on the wine selection.“
“One of the best vineyard tour experiences we have ever had. I highly recommend the UTV tour, tasting, and lunch. We had a fantastic time being driven around the vineyard, hearing about the history, and tasting some absolutely lovely wines. Their Mourvedre was our favorite. They do a great job with it and we will be ordering more of it. I lost the name of our guide, but he was fantastic. He does a lot for them as far as experiences go and he was awesome. Bravo!“
“Had a fantastic time at Tudor for a wine tasting. As big Pinot Noir fans, we were thrilled with theirs beautifully made and full of character. The ice wine was an unexpected highlight and absolutely fantastic, a real standout of the tasting. Great wines, a wonderful setting, amazing service and an experience we’d happily repeat. Highly recommend if you’re touring wineries in Paso Robles!“
“The service is exceptional along with their wines selection“
“I have to admit that we were disappointed that Bodegas Paso Robles was not in this location anymore. But what a pleasant surprise to find some excellent wines in Cendre. Their GSM is so good we bought a bottle for dinner.“
“The prime winemaker, Bob Caparone, has turned the business over to his son, Mark, but the incredible flavor of the Merlot has not changed. I hope Mark and his wife stay true to the Caparone vision and continue to make incredible wine at affordable prices. Bob, my wife and I salute you!“
“I brought a friend today for wine and cheese tasting and lunch. Our server Alex, was very knowledgeable and engaging. He made us feel welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. He was the best! The food was incredible, as always. Thank you, Chef Walter.“
“I'm obsessed! The wine, service, and grounds are nothing short of outstanding. Ascunsion Ridge is a small operation run by beautiful, honest people that love what they do. Each wine I sampled was complex and beautifully balanced. Everything was beyond my expectations and I loved my time here so much I couldn't help but sign up for a membership. I can't wait to come back!“
“Delicious wines. Awesome view“
“It's by the unmaned train station. Owner Sam and Takashi are wonderful! The wine tasting is super reaonable and wines beautifully made by Sam! It is just run by one person, but the service and hospitality is top notch! If you are in Paso Robles it is a must to visit. If taking the train at 4 15pm you should go 2 hrs early and enjoy the wines there. Really loved this place. Highly recommended!“
“Where do I start with Tealy and Greg? How about a funny story, that takes their family back to Southern California and Poway, where I grew up. Little did we know that we lived about 10 minutes apart, found this tidbit out a in 2025, while talking to Tealy, who makes the experience at Barr second to none!
This has been a favorite stop of my girlfriend, who has been a long time wine club member with Barr, from her days of driving limos for wine tasting, she always talked highly of their wines. Greg does excellent wine, across the board, from a simple Albarino to a more complex Cabernet Sauvignon or 6950 (Referring to the address of the winery), one of my favorites from Barr.
The club is wonderful, where there are no added yearly fees, just good wine and discounts on wines, complementary tasting and private tours. One of the few destinations I really enjoy visiting off 46 east. The tasting room is co-located with the production facility, as you drive up through winding vineyards onto the property. The tasting room has indoor and outdoor seating. A small, bar with additional couch seating is available, while there are various Barr related items for sale.
Behind the bar is where the magic is. The tasting lineup is very strong and if there are additional bottles open, you could receive a splash of something different. For me, it was the 2013 Grande Finale. Not a big dessert wine fan, but this excellent. I don't believe this is a single wine in our collection, since I've been introduced to Barr that is bad. The entire lineup is exceptional and there is usually something for everyone. for those cooks out there, I do recommend some of their olive oil. Devine!
As of this review, I know they are trying to retire... again from the wine industry, hopefully Greg and Teally hang around for a bit longer, they do an excellent job when it comes to wine in Paso Robles. Check them out, I highly recommend a tasting.“
“It’s one of the best wine bars in San Luis Obispo county offering a wide array of domestic and international wines by the bottle or by the glass. I find the prices to be competitive and the bartenders very knowledgeable with their craft. I highly recommend this lace to anyone who wants to sample local Paso Robles and international wines. Don’t take my word for it, come and visit soon.“
“Went to Rotta on a Sunday afternoon on a whim. The young lady who helped us was a wealth of information. The wines were fantastic and the view was spectacular. What a great day“
“Came to Paso Robles for my birthday and picked this winery since it seemed like a nice little hidden gem and the black and gold bottles stood out to me. Jordan helped us with our experience, this was our first winery and he was extremely knowledgeable and was very patient with our million questions. The wine itself was all 10's for me and knowing that you can't find these wines in any restaurant/business gave this an even more exclusive and memorable experience. I would come back any time; I believe he said the menu changes every 5 weeks typically.“
“Prize winning wines and Michael is a delight that I had the pleasure of meeting. I fell hard for the Tannat 2018, became a member.“
“My friends and I had an excellent time tasting Glenna's wines. All of her wines are very well made and delicious. She gave us a unique personal experience by sitting down with us and explaining the origins of each wine and how she makes them. Highly recommend!“
“Always have a happy, relaxing time at Allegretto the tasting is definitely a amazing experience!“
“The highlight of our wine tasting in Paso Robles.
An absolute find to experience such quality wines and be guided by the winemaker himself, Denis Degher - who delighted us with his stories about vintages and also his esteemed career in the music industry.
If you want to break away from the big, flashy cellar doors and experience grass roots and quality wines - this is it!“
“We came up for a tasting in February when the weather is a bit cooler. Villa Creek focuses on Rhone varietals, so not the very fruit forward Cabs, Syrah's, Petit's, etc. It's a smaller winery on Peachy Canyon versus the larger venues that I'm less fond of. Wine was very approachable and I liked their Syrah blends.
Lyndsay (sp?) was our host and super knowledgeable and friendly. We ended up not buying bottles as the pricing for most wineries these days is trending towards $100/bottle and if you're not selling at that price point, maybe you're perceived as lower end winery?? Net/net is the wine industry is in flux as demand is slowing and the younger generation is not drinking as much as previous generations. It's going to be interesting where things go from here, but as I look at my wine budget currently, I'm going to Costco's and finding very good bottles in the $40 - $75 range. Occasionally I'll splurge on a $100+ bottle, but that's not the norm. I truly love Paso and I hope there is a balance that can be reached to keep wine lovers coming out to drink great wine, wineries running a profitable business and pricing that is reasonably enough so I can re-stock my shelves occasionally :)“
“I am a former winery owner and winemaker and I almost never join wine clubs. But when you love every wine on a flight, and the club is a great value, you just gotta do it. The tasting room is lovely. My group and I were served by Rachel, who was so friendly and helpful. They have lots of events that sound so fun. I can't wait to attend! One of my friends also signed up for the club. We got a chance to chat with the winemaker on the way out. Overall an exceptional experience and great wines“
“My buddy, Craig Reed, run this place making outstanding wines for the local community. Not a tasting room or have wine for sale. But, every so often, sometimes once a week. Craig will BBQ.......Succulent Ribs were on the menu today...Happy Thursday.“
“Great wine, fantastic people.“
“Absolutely love this winery. The wine is excellent. The location is beautiful. The staff is excellent, and the owner, Kathleen is delightful. Her roses are to die for. Make sure you stop in....you won't be disappointed. We normally bring our own snacks, but they do have cheese and meat platters for sale.“
“friendly. wine was excellent“
“We took the TRI tip sandwich, it was warm, and the combination of cheese and beef was really good.
The desert was crunchy, and the cheese filling worked amazingly with the pistachio.
We took the wine testing, and opaque darkness is the best one by far, it goes smooth, with deep flavors.“
“My spouse and I visited Calcareous in mid-March for a Cabernet tasting that was out of this world. We tasted a variety of wines from different vintages that were all outstanding. Each was beautifully made and are a great value for their price point. Our host, Nate, explained the wine characteristics, production details, and winery history. He expertly answered endless questions about the local wine community and other wine trivia. The whole experience was just great.“
“I definitely recommend Vina Robles as a stop for any trip in Paso Robles. We came during the holiday weekend after Christmas with our two dogs. The staff was kind, our wine specialist was very knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere is lovely with small chill livingroom like spots. There was a DJ when we came, doing an excellent job of weaving together requests that added to the experience. We had a wonderful time!“
“Just had an amazing experience at Eberle. Kirk, our tasting guide, possessed a wealth of knowledge about the vineyard and its history. He could not have been more entertaining, informative, and just generous with his time and tasting! Thoroughly enjoyed all the wines- all the reds have elegance and depth- but are less in your face than some California reds, but so smooth, lovely and enjoyable. We will be back!! In the day and age when everywhere is reservations only and super pricey, Eberle is a breath of fresh air- with years of quality to back up their stellar reputation.“
“Great view, lots of wine options, and great staff. Thank you Cassie for answering our questions, and making our wine tasting experience fun!“
“Had a great time at Cloak & Dagger. We’re not huge Cabernet fans ourselves, but our friends are, and they absolutely loved what they tasted here. Service was excellent throughout, and the ambiance made the whole visit feel special. Even as non-Cab drinkers, we had a wonderful time and would happily go back. Great spot for wine lovers of all kinds in Paso Robles!“

“We stopped by High Camp Wines on our little family trip down south from the Bay Area. While on our way to the hotel, the artwork and aesthetic of their logo caught our eye and we knew we had to check them out. We did a tasting of their entire offering, which lead to the purchase of 3 bottles wine, merch, and a great time. I’d highly recommend giving them a visit. Amazing service and great wines!“
