Be sure Emily hosts your party. Very knowledgeable about wine and the area. This is a Syrah winery. Try the 2020 Toasted Slope Syrah. I really liked the cheese and meat plate. The place is like a little hotel lobby. Plenty of parking. Nice bathrooms.
We came upon Alta Colina by coincidence and are so, so grateful we did!! The wines in the tasting were delicious and diverse - we loved the full-bodied white wine and the slope syrah. Ivey served us - I've been drinking wine for years, but I learned so much from her. You can tell she really loves working at Alta and loves the whole process. What a great visit. We had not been back to Paso for five years, but meeting Bob and Lynn , the founders of this great estate, was just a real plus. I love how they are so down to earth and welcoming—Bob still refers to himself as ‘just a grape farmer’.
