Sixmilebridge Winery, located just outside of Paso Robles, offers a wonderful experience for visitors. The beautiful, quaint property features a patio where guests can enjoy a mid afternoon tasting seated outdoors under the shade of a big tree. The wine is exceptional, with Bordeaux style wines being a highlight. The Limerick is a favorite, and the friendly owners often insist guests try another wine not on the list to compare the right bank and left bank styles of Bordeaux. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and not at all pretentious, making everyone feel comfortable. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the team can answer questions about pairings that would go well with each variety. Personalized menus and little touches, like bandanas and yummy treats for dogs, make the visit special. A mini-Australian shepherd mascot adds to the charm. This small and intimate winery is a must stop while in Paso Robles, perfect for tasting or impressing out of town guests.
