“Some of the best Chilaquiles I have ever eaten!!! The service is excellent. We will be back.“
“Awesome place with friendly and knowledgeable staff!“
“There's something about visiting Alta Colina that feels less like a tasting and more like coming home. From the moment you arrive, Bob, Maggie, Melissa (and Jesse!) make you feel like part of the family. It's not just friendly service; it's genuine care and attention that turns every visit into something fun!
The wines are thoughtfully made; fresh, expressive, and clearly crafted with intention rather than ego. Bob and Maggie embody that same philosophy: humble, kind, and effortlessly welcoming in a way that's increasingly rare.
And Melissa? She elevates the entire experience. Attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without being pretentious...she just gets it.
If you're looking for a place that pairs excellent wine with warmth and authenticity, this is it. We love you guys!“
“Absolutely one of the standouts of our annual holiday visit to California. We were members of Zenaida (now Pius) 10yrs ago and we loved the face lift, sophistication, and most notably Victoria who was inviting, knowledgeable and attentive. The wines are some of the best we have had on the central coast and it was apparent Pius is building a unique brand with buttery Chardonnay’s, balanced Roses and world class Cab Savs. We look forward to seeing you next year.“
“An umami pairing experience with LXV Wine and Bakersfield’s Noodle Bar. LXV owners and the chef from Noodle Bar matched the wines and meals perfectly👌🏼Pairings with LXV Wine is a must do experience!“
“This place is amazing from the wine to the staff to the views. Such a friendly laid back place. Can't say enough about Croad my favorite winery“
“Caliza was a lovely and relaxing winery to start the morning off slow. The wines were great, the scenery was serene and the service was interactive and quite friendly. Our server was from the area and had lots of recommendations for us and even wrote them out so we'd remember! The flagship wine Azimuth is that for a reason. Definitely wonderful and a great souvenir to take home!“

“Very up and coming Sports Bar, good food, good drinks, good people.“
“We flew into Halter Ranch on a Thursday, ate a delicious lunch, did some wine tasting, bought several bottles, and stayed in a Pilots Cottage overnight. What a wonderful experience! The menu was lovely and our choices were tasty. The cottage was immaculate and comfy and we enjoyed the hot tub under the stars when we got back from dinner. We called a car to take us into Paso Robles for dinner because the winery restaurant doesn‘t offer dinner seating. The runway is VERY narrow and there is obstacle clearance on short final so I‘d recommend it to experienced pilots only, but it‘s nicely paved and tie-downs were easy. But WOW, what a lovely experience!“
“Excellent tasting
We were familiar with some of the wines produced at Tablas Creek and decided to have their Legacy Tasting. Matt was an excellent and informative host. He even gave us some extra wines to taste because he could see that we were definitely interested. Some people may have issues with Tablas Creek wines because they are not classic California types. However, they represent superb examples of Rhône-style wines. Let’s hear it for diversity!“

“We usually share our reviews on Tock or Cellarpass, but we wanted to note here how special Torrin is if you’re ever visiting the Paso area. We are always impressed by both the winemaker and his work, which is why we joined the club. We are big fans of Lagom, but we equally enjoy Banshee and Akasha. Aly is also one of the main reasons we look forward to each visit—she is truly a treasure. The wines speak for themselves, but it’s the welcoming and personable people at Torrin who truly win us over.“

“The service was awesome, the food was spectacular!
We felt like the pours were skimpy. We don't like to get plastered, but we don't like having to worry the wine is gone before the food is finished, and we found ourselves portioning the wine to ensure it would last.
Also, the music seemed wildly inappropriate for the setting and the crowd, not to mention too loud. It's not a bar and grill, it's fine dining. They were playing heavy metal all night.
But, again, the food and service were outstanding.“
“Just got back from a fantastic weekend in Paso Robles. The highlight was a visit to the Steinbeck Winery. The ride on Willy the jeep, the incredible staff, the delicious wine, the beautiful grounds, the relaxing, unrushed charm of this family owned winery makes it a true gem. Thank you Cindy and family for such a memorable experience. We will see you again!“

“Friendly staff, a pup to greet you and reasonably priced for a flight. I’m a sweet cider fan and all they have is dry but the slushy (watermelon flavor) was fantastic! I’d personally like smaller tastes and more to taste than bigger tastes with fewer to select. More like 6-2 ounce than 4-3 ounce. Just my personal preference!“

“Loved the reuben sandwich special with the potato salad side. The friendly service was very quick. I have never been disappointed with the food or service the multiple times I have eaten at Springside Restaurant. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat.“
“Nice, small, quaint winery. All the wines were great. We especially loved the Zinfandel! There was a problem with our order and they made it right quickly! I suggest if you’re in the area, stop in and enjoy the wine. Buy a bottle, or a case!“

“Food was fantastic!! By far best Mediterranean in North County. I orders the tri tip sandwhich which was 10/10 with great mix of flavor and spices. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food took a little long to come out, but it felt very freshly made and well worth the wait. Will be back again to try other dishes on the menu!“
“Came here of Sunday morning. The young lady working was so friendly and welcoming. The wine was really good. Their reds were some of my favorite. The gernache was awesome. I also enjoyed the Zin. The wines were membership worthy.
One thing that made the experience even nicer was the outdoor patio. It was very kind friendly. Had nice seats with a fire.
I definitely recommend checking this place out. I bought a bottle of their holiday wine for Christmas. It was a perfect visit.“
“beautiful setting, friendly people and a friendly dog named Bentley“
“Awesome tasting room and some great products!“
“Timing, as they say, is everything in life, & it really worked to our advantage, at this lovely vineyard.
On 1/18/26, My partner & I rolled into Paso Robles at 2:30pm. I'd gotten my wires crossed in a text link, thinking we were gonna to meet our best friends, to taste wines at Booker Vineyards. Turns out, they wanted us to meet them at Taste Craft Eatery. When we tried to check in, at the host station, they politely told us there were no tasting slots available-the place was hopping!
Fast forward to the next day, 1/19/26, our reserved wine tasting day at Booker Vineyards. My friend, whose a Booker Wine Club Member, had scheduled a tasting for us, at 11:30a.m. With bright blue skies, & feathery streaked clouds overhead, all 4 of us sauntered up the sloped walkway, to Booker Vineyards Tasting Area.
Jonah, collected our friend's name & tasting time. We then followed Jonah to the top of the concrete walk, to the Terrace Level Tasting Room, with spectacular views of several steep rounded hills, covered in evenly-spaced rows of wine grape vines. Belts of green vegetation, spurred on by abundant early rains, grew between each row.
The views from this spot were absolutely mind-blowing. I couldn't believe our luck, in that we were the only people wine tasting, in this private, open-air space, plus it had the best views, by far, of all the wine tasting areas.
In a matter of minutes, Jonah became our best friend. He asked us where we lived, & this was the icebreaker, to open up the many stories that followed, rapid-fire, once the tastings of delicious Booker Wine started flowing.
Jonah told us all about Booker Vineyards: The winery's origin, detailed knowledge about each wine, plus he shared some personal knowledge, about himself, all done with his youthful enthusiasm. It was easy to be sucked in, to his extreme love of wine.
The most interesting part of the tasting, for me, was tasting Vertigo 2022, which was a dry year, vs Vertigo 2023, when there was lots of rain.
Well, as it turned out, the guys in our group, loved the 2022, & the gals loved the 2023 best.
Vertigo 2022, was my favorite wine, of the 4 Booker Wines, we tasted.
After the tasting, Jonah took us on an amazing tour, through Booker's wine cave, which was so impressive. Their wine cave was far nicer, than a wine cave we'd visited, in Sonoma CA. The most fascinating feature here, was a private tasting room, The Cave Room, This unique room, had 2 plush couches, & stone table, centered in the middle of the room. The back wall of this intriguing room, had an open-faced view of the layered Limestone, which this cave was dug through. You could even see water trickling down the jagged stone face, in several places.
Next was a super cool golf cart ride, across this vast wine estate, in which Jonah described which wine grapes were grown, in each area, plus he pointed out their oak tree forest, which was preserved, when they designed Booker Vineyards. He gave us so much knowledge, all while driving the golf cart.
It was a once-in-a-lifetime wine tasting, & I want to personally thank Jonah, for this incredible experience, which all four of us wine tasters loved. It simply couldn't have been
better, or more fun! I took home a bottle of Vertigo 2022, & I'll enjoy the heck out of it, the lucky day I uncork it.
Bravo Jonah, & Booker Wines!“
“Great wines and wonderful people. We had a gathering of 20 here this week and were served with such warmth, knowledge and fun. The owners shared the history of the property. We had WONDERFUL red wines and yummy pizza. I would strongly recommend making the journey to Dubost!“
“Great staff and atmosphere! The wines were incredible. Especially the Zinfandel! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! 🥳🥳“
“If you're a wine enthusiast looking for something truly special, Diablo Paso is a must-try. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you! Be sure to ask for Deb when you visit the tasting room. She’s incredibly friendly and can provide expert guidance on the wine selection.“
“We arrived 30 minutes prior to our reservation with hopes they could accommodate, and they did without any fuss, which helped our schedule. Iddy was a great host, knowledgeable on all the wine and art and a great story teller. Reception isnt the greatest in the area so plan accordingly.“
“This is our first Winery Tour ever, and Austin Hope was the first winery of our day, so we didn't really know what to expect. Upon arrival, were warmly greeted with a glass of white wine, then escorted to a corner cabana with the backdrop of the vineyard! At first, I was a bit hesitant seating outside because it was March and this year has been unusually cold, but the hostess assured me that they had heat lamps and blankets. Sure enough, with the beautiful flame heat lamp and the soft warm blanket, we were comfortable and cozy, and settled into a wonderful experience. I forgot who was our server, but she was very knowledgeable about the wines, and also personable and caring. She make sure that we were comfortable, and our young daughter had sparkling water in her wine glass so she could (kind of) participate with us. I highly recommend their Charcuterie tray, which has a great assortment of wine, meats and nuts. I love how our server explained the wine at each pour, then leave us ample time to enjoy the glass and talk. She also brought us handwarmers to keep our hands warm. There were so many small caring touches that truly made our first winery tasting experience so wonderful. I'm not much of a wine person, but I ended up loving their wine too. After our tasting at Austin Hope, the other wineries just couldn't compare. Thank you very much for a first winery experience that I will never forget. I will definitely be back!“

“Wife and I went there on 8/14. The power was out, however, Bob was very accommodating and very pleasant to talk to. He set us up with a couple of glasses of wine conversation. Good place, good wine, good customer service. We will be going back.“
“Just had an amazing experience at Eberle. Kirk, our tasting guide, possessed a wealth of knowledge about the vineyard and its history. He could not have been more entertaining, informative, and just generous with his time and tasting! Thoroughly enjoyed all the wines- all the reds have elegance and depth- but are less in your face than some California reds, but so smooth, lovely and enjoyable. We will be back!! In the day and age when everywhere is reservations only and super pricey, Eberle is a breath of fresh air- with years of quality to back up their stellar reputation.“
“We were in Paso for a week of wine tasting. Our final visit was the vineyard tour and tasting. It was the capstone event of the week. Everything was fantastic. We didn't know that it was a private tour, so it was extra special for our 25th wedding anniversary. The vineyard is stunningly beautiful and we got to taste ripe grapes of different varieties right off the vine!
Paula was our host, not only is she a great advocate for ONX wines, which are fantastic, but she knows a LOT about wine in general. Unlike many of our hosts in the 10-tastings we did over the week, she balanced the story of the vineyard and company with information about the wines. Too many times over the week were we overloaded with the history of the vineyard, which to us is secondary to the quality and story of the wines.
Hey ONX, whatever you are paying Paula, give her a raise!“
“I definitely recommend Vina Robles as a stop for any trip in Paso Robles. We came during the holiday weekend after Christmas with our two dogs. The staff was kind, our wine specialist was very knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere is lovely with small chill livingroom like spots. There was a DJ when we came, doing an excellent job of weaving together requests that added to the experience. We had a wonderful time!“
“My spouse and I visited Calcareous in mid-March for a Cabernet tasting that was out of this world. We tasted a variety of wines from different vintages that were all outstanding. Each was beautifully made and are a great value for their price point. Our host, Nate, explained the wine characteristics, production details, and winery history. He expertly answered endless questions about the local wine community and other wine trivia. The whole experience was just great.“

“Levo Wine in Tin City is an absolute gem. We stopped in shortly before closing with our son, and the hospitality couldn’t have been better. They were incredibly welcoming and made us feel like family, even though it was only our second tasting room visit ever.
Bret, the winemaker, is a great guy. We instantly connected over his ties to Eagle, Idaho (where my parents live), which made the experience even more special. Huge shoutout to Lexi as well. She was an awesome host on both visits and was extremely friendly and accommodating.
Bret’s wines were outstanding across the board. We especially loved the 2024 El Paso de Robles White, the 2021 Fasten Your Seatbelt Syrah (absolutely incredible), and the 2022 Willow Creek District red blend. Thoughtful, balanced, and beautifully made.
The space is clean, modern, and vibrant, and their creative marketing really stands out across social, their website, merch, and overall brand presence. We enjoyed it so much that we joined the wine club on the spot and are excited to have Levo in our regular rotation as we move from SLO to Atascadero.
Highly recommend! Fantastic wine, great people, and a 10/10 experience.“
