12 Best Bars in Paso Robles

“We enjoyed the “NEW and improved” Pour House this afternoon! 🥰music, beverage selection and thoughtful stage and dance floor layout…..but the hydraulic, sleek new, unstable, teetering bar stools with equally precarious tables covered with stretchy fabric were an annoyance from the start.
One of us is unsighted and we seek out establishments that are SAFE for him due to the ever-looming fall risks.
We opted for the wicker bar chairs which snagged my clothing…….
We have patronized the POUR HOUSE from its start when it was in the Firestone Walker “hood”.
Please consider safety first, as we are musicians that have performed on the many incarnations of the PH stage, we hope the PH continues to be a comfortable (safe) place for all who seek a pour!!!“

“After days of drinking and tasting overpriced crushed grapes, it was a pleasant relief to go into a bar and not drink or eat overpriced anything. Not fancy, but good location close to town, friendly and cheerful service, has a pool table, music and a couple of dartboards that kept us entertained for hours. Not really a craft beer type of place, but a pint or two of 805, is ok in a pinch. Will certainly pay them a visit next time we are in town. “It was hard to tell from the humble exterior what a high quality, convivial experience awaited inside. The reviews were on target regarding the food which was delicious seafood (there were meat choices too but we picked it for its name Catch). We ordered the oysters which were fabulous with freshly grated horseradish and the clam chowder that my husband reluctantly shared. My husband chose the sand dabs which are hard to find and they were cooked perfectly. I chose the fish trio and it was superb, everything moist and sauce on the side which I prefer. Veggies were great, a selection cooked al dente. After a long discussion where the chef suggested we sample some the wines first we got to the perfect match since we both chose a different wine.“

It’s enough to easily feed two people, and under $40? Come ON!! The fish is SOOO fresh and the octopus is so amazingly tender!! You simply can’t go wrong!!“
