“Such a great way to taste wines from all over our area. 2-ounce tastes are great. I enjoyed a couple of whites, then a flight of reds from DRNK for $25. Best tasting variety.“
“Jan’s Place is truly a hidden gem in San Luis Obispo's historic Railroad District. Every time I visit, I meet the most interesting people, which adds to the laid-back, welcoming vibe. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique spot to unwind, listen to some great records, and meet new people.“

“We loved swinging into the bar late at night! It was pretty empty, but the bartenders were fun and the drinks were good! We grabbed a slice of cake too, which was huge but not exactly what we were hoping for, but we couldn’t leave without trying the cake. We got the bees knees and raspberry lemon drop.“
“No trip to San Luis Obispo is complete without a trip to Bull’s Tavern. My first drink here was in 1981 when I was a Senior at Cal Poly.“

“Our mixologist Keith was great. Everyone knew what they wanted, but me. He asked me what I thought I might like. I said something bitter. And he asked what type of spirit and I said gin. He said he'd do a riff on a drink he makes, but he'll make it more bitter. It was heavenly!! Perfectly crafted, yum!“

“This is the prettiest spot! It's off of a walking trail and they have live entertainment some days . They have a food trailer which has a little trailer next to it with a pizza oven . They serve some alcoholic beverages and some non alcoholic beverages. Very cool. You feel like you are in a lovely nursery. The trees are towering above you and there is a lot of foliage all around you. There vegetable gardens nearby as well as flower gardens. It's so relaxing and the food was good as well as the live band. Pet friendly as well. It's a nice way to spend a few relaxing hours
Kid-friendliness: There were some families as well as seniors . A mixed crowd.“

“I haven't eaten here yet but the bartenders here are so spot on amazing it's unbelievable. They see me approaching and my drink set up is on the bar just the way I like it. I love it here and everybody is loads more fun than a barrel full of monkeys. I prefer the daytime/early evening cast of local characters and hard working folks who have manners, intelligence, and moral fiber, which is sorely lacking these days. McCarthy's is the shizzz!“

“OMG! Delish every time! It's our family go-to on a regular basis. The Pastor Tacos are THE best in town and legit - tastes right out of top-notch Taquerías in Mexico City. We've always had great hospitality and timely service. And JP is still there, which shows a lot of consistency. And for those online complainers, a $7.50 huge pastor taco with pineapple salsa + free chips with two respectable salsas is SMOKIN' deal! If you can't afford that, best that you don't eat out ;-) Seriously, we highly recommend La Esquina. Best Mexican flavor in town!“

“A true foodie experience! The food was to die for. Fine dining quality for the food and the service at very reasonable prices. The owner is so passionate about the food and told us about all the dishes and the ingredients etc. They asked about any allergies or dietary restrictions so they could accommodate. Wish I lived here so I could eat here every week! Just amazing!“
