“Great food with an easy atmosphere!“

“You would be remiss to not get a sando from here when in town. Outdoor seating is limited, and lines are generally crazy (order online) and walk to the park for a nice picnic. If you plan on visiting with a larger party, either order online or head to the Los Osos location for a bigger patio. Prices sound outrageous (and they are pretty high), but I don't care. Its a great sando.“

“100% Vegan. Ziggy’s is so good. Tonight I had a Mushroom Ziggy patty ‘hamburger’, my husband enjoyed the Old 58 Ziggy patty burger along with fries and we shared an avocado roll. All had great flavors. The mushroom burger had a huge amount of ‘shrooms. The vegan cheeses on our burgers had great texture. The quantities were large, the quality was excellent. Friendly service. A couple tables for seating indoors. And a couple tables outside. Highly recommend Ziggy’s for vegans and non-vegans. You will not be disappointed.“

“Bliss makes wonderful, nourishing vegan food and the owners are lovely and passionate, both about the food they serve and connecting with the local community. (Big shoutout to Dara and Kyle!) The quality of the food at their Thursday SLO Farmer's Market booth is fantastic and portions are generous. I can easily get two meals out of the small, and three or more meals out of the large! My husband loves the Protein Buddha, and I am a recent convert to the fabulously lemony Banzo Bowl, but you can't go wrong with any of the options from Bliss :)We also ordered their prepared multi-course holiday meal for a special Christmas dinner in December (2023), and it was delicious! So many amazing flavors and dishes that satisfied vegans and non-vegans alike. I highly recommend ordering catered food from Bliss if you have the opportunity, and stopping by their booth on Thursdays!“

“We enjoyed Corazon 805 Tacos so much on Friday at Liquid Gravity that we got it again on Saturday at Broad Street Public House. Chef Pedro and his team are super friendly and fun to talk to, not to mention they cooked us up an amazing meal of tacos, rice and beans two nights in a row. The freshly made corn tortillas are a perfect soft and pliable texture, the taco fillings are flavorful and spiced, and the toppings (pickled onion, queso fresco, and spicy salsa verde) complement the fillings beautifully. We enjoyed the carne asada, pulque-marinated chicken, and sweet potato with kale. While they were all delicious, the sweet potato was our favorite. And the surprise winner of the meal was the refried black beans and “fried” rice. The beans were smooth and velvety, and mixed with the rice made for an amazing side dish. Didn’t get a chance to photograph the rice & beans because they were eaten so quickly. Can’t wait for them to be back at Broad Street Pub, since we live in the condos right near there. I will be there every time.“

“It was super cute and fun and my toddler loved it but we got food poisoning 10/8/24 ? pulled pork sandwich and Mac and cheese and we were both sick! My toddler only had the apple cider which was also amazing and he had no sickness so I would just say stay away from the food“

“I think this is the best coffee-shop coffee I have ever bought! Everyone in our party loved their coffee - cappuccino, lattes, drip coffee and loose leaf tea were all fantastic! My muffin was also delicious. Definitely a place for many returns!“

“Overall a great restuarant with some of the freshest seafood I've ever had. I am picky because my brother spearfishes and so I am used to eating fish and seafood that was caught and killed mere hours before. That being said, the seafood here passed my test, with the scallops being delectably sweet and tender and the crab being cooked and seasoned to perfection. I had the apasionado which came with avocado, roe, uni, diver scallops, and a leche tigre sauce that was perfectly balanced. My friend had the grilled lamb dish which fell off the bone. To finish we had the passion fruit milk chocolate dessert which was amazing and the chocolate pomegranate mousse (I would pass on this one). The passionfruit chocolate mousse was super smooth and pretty balanced while the second dessert was bland and dry. Service here is a little slow but the servers are friendly and knowledgeable. Would come again and would recommend. Some may say it is expensive but I think the prices are quite reasonable for the portions and quality of the food. That being said, plan to order around 1.5-2 dishes per person as well as a dessert or two and expect to spend 100+ dollars.“

“I love this place and have been here before and will come again. Very funky vibe which is nice contrast in Del Mar. BUT my advice re food is to order the more adventuresome things on the menu not the more everyday. Fish of the day is always spectacular (last time I had halibut) or the short ribs with cherries. Also the ceviches are very good. Unfortunately I had the seafood / mariscos entree billed as paella but it was very dry and plain. Even my partner ordered the Salados/ filet mignon which was serviceable but plain. The chef can obviously do great things (look at the photos). Try those every time.“

“The night started off not so great. A group of 15 tried bypassing the line, getting really upset with me when I informed the host (he had just arrived, and only saw that they had just squeezed their way to the front of the line, so this was in no way his fault) that another group was ahead of them, and that we were next in line after them. There must’ve been some mix up, as we ended up getting seated in a section that wasn’t assigned to any server. We waited for 20 minutes, watching the group of fifteen receive their drinks and have their food orders taken, before I asked one of the server’s if we were actually in a section (turned out that we weren’t). The waitress that I spoke to was very apologetic and said she would take care of it, and she absolutely did. About a minute later, Shelby came over to take our order and turned a not so great birthday dinner into a fabulous one. She was incredibly kind, apologetic, and made us her top priority. I actually said to my boyfriend during the meal, “she’s a great server, she knows what she’s doing.” She made us laugh, and even got me an extra glass of wine on the house as a consolation/birthday drink. We came in about an hour before closing, and unfortunately, at the same time as a large group, so I totally understand the mixup. The staff was very accommodating, which made up for any confusion/hurt feelings. Thank you Shelby, you rock!“

“We have been to Cafe Roma a few times, and each time has been a great experience. This time, we went on a Monday night, for a birthday dinner. It was a quiet evening for the restaurant, which made it that much nicer for us! Excellent service (thanks, Tristan!), delicious food - oh, my, those escargot! - and a wine list with a wide range of choices, especially of Italian wines. Delightful! We'll be back!.“

“Love love love the bao. The flavors are so creative and absolutely delicious. I love seeing the owners in every visit. They have such a great collection of snacks, sides and treats. I could live off of Philly cheese steaks, breakfast bao and turtle chips. Seriously such a great stop and being in the market means lots of options for everyone in your group (though they are 100% crazy if they pass up a single bao).
Absolutely fantastic and such a great addition to the community.

“I’ve got some fond memories of Gino’s pizza. I was a broke cosmetology student at the school next door to their Pismo location. So when I did have the means, I’d treat myself to Gino’s. Everyone I’ve taken there LOVES it as well. The Mexican pizza is a staple among the rest of their delicious food. I always recommend this place. No matter if I’m in Santa Maria or anywhere else.“

“The baked goods are tasty and very good. The coffee is all hand made and just perfect. They have different types of coffees, teas, and other beverages, so you have to go multiple times to sample them all. It’s worth the trip. The butter mochi is a great cheesecake alternative, not too sweet, just right. Their Taipei style beef noodle is among the best I’ve tasted this far north of LA. If you have a need for Japanese staples, like rice and noodles, they have that in their mini store, as well. The staff is friendly and helpful. Enjoy there lo-fi BGM. You need to go and keep this business going. Incredibly tasty Asian inspired dishes of great quality in SLO.
