“Had a lovely time with my 8 year old daughter for breakfast yesterday. She had banana and strawberry waffles and I had a bowl with peppers, beans, cabbage, cilantro, and a few other things. Would definitely come back. The patio was perfect :)“

“Very lovely atmosphere. Food is good but wish there were healthier options, such as no deep frying of potatoes. Lobster rolls were delicious but only 2 and smallish and again deep fried. Service was a bit slow at times, and parking was difficult due to event that weekend. Overall would recommend.“

“We just happened to be staying in town on Valentine’s Day and they had a special set menu. Ohhh so good, we got the scallops, salad and desert. I could literally live on the salad. The risotto was so good! We ate upstairs and it was really cozy with the heaters and the nighttime atmosphere. The bar was lively and fun, our service was a bit slow but everything is so fresh! I can understand it is made to order. My only complaint, I’m so sorry but, I am a spicy Bloody Mary “snob” and the one here was not good at all. But that’s it! We loved everything else. Now to the owners who reply to reviews, I would have come here with all 1 star reviews just from reading your replies!!! Whoever you are I spent an hour reading reviews and your priceless replies! I adore you 😂 But honestly, really good food and very fun and great atmosphere. Back sooner than later♥️“

“Nice place but... We visited this beautiful restaurant on July 30th For drinks and appetizers. We sat outside on the patio and it was lovely, the food was delicious and the wine very enjoyable. We recognized that we were seated at the table for about 2 1/2 - 3 hours so we continued to order appetizers and dessert while we were enjoying our wine and we also planned on leaving a generous tip. Toward the end of our stay as we were ordering our final glass of wine and dessert and were told by the waitress that she could not serve us anymore alcohol and and it has something to do with the ABC but she could not explain exactly what the issue was. Being in my 60's and never being denied service in my entire life, I was quite taken aback. We were served the dessert but no more alcohol. We paid our bill and walked down the street to another establishment where we continued to have our final glass of wine and watch the sunset and then walk back to the hotel. I'm still baffled by what occurred.“

“It's rare that I leave reviews but Caliwala is SO good that I just have to. The chefs Kyle and Erin are awesome. I attended a yoga retreat close by and it was catered by them. All the food was delicious... the best I've ever had. On my way home, I picked up a vegan sandwich and it was out of this world amazing. If I lived closer, I'd be there everyday!“

“Smallish, unassuming Asian fusion restaurant where you can find poke, ramen, beef rice bowls. Poke rice was white rice in coloration but tastes like brown rice. Poke dish sweeter than Hawaiian or Pacific Northwest poke. The tuna Poke did not have as much shoyu and sesame oil marination. Also lacked the onion kick. It certainly has a slightly different flavor and not your usual Asian or Hawaiian style. Perhaps a California spin? The decor is a mixture of nature and Asian motif with light, bright, modern feel. The wine bottles nicely parallels the tall soft drink cups. The nice music brought unhurried mood and I appreciate the owner's curation. While this is not the usual type of restaurant that I frequent, most of how this restaurant was put together worked for me. Would come back depending on my mood. Thank you, Chowa Bowel.“

“the food was really good! i ordered the matcha latte and the caprese avocado toast, as well as the mocha frappe for a family member. the matcha latte had some matcha powder that threw me off a bit in its texture but i didn’t mind it after a while. i really liked the avocado toast! the mocha frappe was also good from what i tried :)“

“Thai Lotus’ fresh Buddha Rolls are to die for! The Tom Yum Soup that I get with chicken is the hot and sour soup perfect for a rainy day, or if you’re down in the weather, and of course, anytime. I love, love their Pad Thai because they use rice noodles and the sauce is delicious! So grateful they are here in Los Osos for takeout!“

They now have 2 patios—the new one in front is a positive addition, and the original one is still lovely with all the garden plants. “We had great food! Sweat and dour chicken! Orange chicken, beef broccoli, fried shrimp was to die for! Sesiquan beef with onions and fried rice, fried rice with big chunks of chicken! It was fast and very good! Don’t let the 2 star person chance you out!! I have traveled all over the world and the meats were tender, the sauce not too thick or thin! Everything was very smooth and tasteful!!! And presented in large quantities and pleasant to the eye!!
