Incredible bakery. The owner is super friendly, is a real friend of the local community, and chooses delicious spreads/drinks for the breads. This is some of the best bread I’ve had and I can’t recommend the linzer tarts enough. Caliwala is worlds better than Boudin Bakery in SF.
We are visiting from Germany and can wholeheartedly recommend this cozy bakery. We just bought various cookies and a walnut cranberry bread that is just to die for!!! We Germans really know our bread but the visit at caliwala is always a highlight when we’re in this area! You can really tell that Erin and her partner take pride in what they’re doing and bring a lot of love into it, just like how they treat their customers!

These cookies are way better than other cookie places. I ate 3 cookies and no headache no sick to my stomach frm the overload of sugar. They are just the right amount of sweetness, soft but not too soft, cooked to a perfect consistency so its not too cakey but still chewy but not raw dough-esque. Great flavors like ones w molasses and almond extract. Also have choc chip good ol fashioned.
