This coffee store has a very friendly and relaxed vibe and it is clear the business is frequented by locals and the staff and locals are familiar with each other. It is a nice place downtown to sit and relax while enjoying a well executed coffee drink. The staff is friendly and efficient.“

“We had the most tasty Peruvian food in downtown San Luis Obispo at Coya in their new location at 851 Higuera St, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401. The chicken saltado one of the best I have ever had. The beef empanada large. The passion fruit drink, Maracuya, refreshing. All house made authentic Peruvian food. I hope you will visit Coya and enjoy the food as much as we did. The ambience beautifully decorated with traditional Peruvian products, clothing, hats, purses, dolls, cookies, coffee and lamas. Large dinning room and outdoor seating nice. They have this smoothie with ginger and mango that i cant stop thinking about. the place is small but cozy, like someones living room almost. We called ahead to make a reservation, and Gustavo was incredibly accommodating and managed to get us a table right away.
Everything we ordered was incredibly tasty, but the absolute highlight of the meal was definitely the Yellowtail Collar (Hamachi Kama)—it was perfectly grilled, rich, and flavorful.
We also really enjoyed the classic izakaya standard, the Agedashi Tofu (v Perfectly cooked tofu and delicious sauce) and comforting Kitsune soba as well as the perfectly crispy Chicken Karaage served with that delicious spiced mayo dip.

If you're looking for high-quality, authentic Japanese comfort food in SLO, this is a must-visit spot. Great food and even better hospitality!“
