This place was very nice. The chef was really really nice. He made excellent recommendations. This was by far the best sushi restaurant that my wife and I have been to. The sushi was excellent but sitting at the sushi bar and talking to the chef was the best part. Really cool guy.

Based on the reviews, Izakaya Goshi is an amazing and authentic Japanese restaurant. Everything tastes fresh and delicious, from the miso soup, sunomono, sashimi, and yaki niku to the best sushi in SLO. The rolls are amazing, and the Sukiyaki is a favorite traditional dish. The fish is super fresh, and the service is friendly, welcoming, and sweet. The atmosphere is cozy, relaxed, and peaceful, making it a great spot for dinner. It is recommended to make a reservation, as parking is very challenging.
