Fantastic izakaya dishes and wonderful service!
We called ahead to make a reservation, and Gustavo was incredibly accommodating and managed to get us a table right away.
Everything we ordered was incredibly tasty, but the absolute highlight of the meal was definitely the Yellowtail Collar (Hamachi Kama)—it was perfectly grilled, rich, and flavorful.

Based on the reviews, Izakaya Goshi is an amazing and authentic Japanese restaurant. Everything tastes fresh and delicious, from the miso soup, sunomono, sashimi, and yaki niku to the best sushi in SLO. The rolls are amazing, and the Sukiyaki is a favorite traditional dish. The fish is super fresh, and the service is friendly, welcoming, and sweet. The atmosphere is cozy, relaxed, and peaceful, making it a great spot for dinner. It is recommended to make a reservation, as parking is very challenging.
