“The Pierfront Wine & Brew Bar is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of Avila Beach! From the moment I stepped in, I was enchanted by the cozy ambiance and breathtaking view of the pier. But what truly stole the show was their impeccable wine selection - a connoisseur's dream come true! The variety was astounding, catering to every palate with finesse. The staff's knowledge and passion for wine were evident in every recommendation they made. Their personalized service elevated the entire experience, making me feel like a valued guest rather than just a customer. The attention to detail and genuine care in ensuring I found the perfect wine for my taste was unparalleled. Each glass was a delightful journey through flavors and aromas, complemented by the stunning sunset view. The staff's expertise in pairing wine with the delectable cheese and charcuterie boards added another layer of sophistication to the evening. Pierfront Wine Bar isn't just a place for wine enthusiasts; it's a haven for anyone seeking an exquisite experience. I can't recommend this place enough - it's a must-visit for anyone in search of top-notch wines and exceptional service in Avila Beach!“
“As a single solo traveler finding places that are both safe and fun can be a challenge. The whole crew at Mr. Rick’s and the custom house make it easy to let loose and have a good time. Most recently I was served by Angie, keith, and Austin and had the best weekend visiting my favorite place. The live music and fun atmosphere make this place more memorable. Through and through a great experience highly recommend.“
“Walked from our Duplex in Avila over to Woodstone. We have had lunch here many times, but never breakfast. Special was Joe's Hamburger Scramble, which we all ordered. It was delicious. Hamburger had a really nice flavor. Amount of spinach and cheese was perfect. I wish I could have finished it. You order from the Counter. We got there early, so didn't have much of a wait to order. Food was delivered very promptly. It was a little too chilly to eat out on their patio, but the inside seating was fine. This place is always a "go to" for us, so we will definitely be back again.“
“Fantabulous service, staff and food. Just stopped in for cocktails as I haven't been back since middle of pandemic for a housemates birthday a year ago. So got briefed on new and revisited this old cocktail, Tye Old fashioned. Boyfriend got a glass of wine and ordered us jalapeño poppers, so good! Great ambience, bar looks like it's under the ocean waves.“
“Food was great. We were seated rapidly for a group of 4. The service is good, just takes awhile to get refills. It's really noisy there and if your not in a booth then you are so close to the next table. Prices are moderate. Proximity to the boardwalk is great.“
“This restaurant was in walking distance to our Hotel. I ordered the Pork Chop dinner with a Sparkling Pom beverage. It was cooked perfectly good and had great flavor! The food, service and view were amazing and will definitely recommend and return at my next trip.“
“The food was very good; fresh and perfectly prepared. They have an outstanding collection of taquilla. The service was also excellent, both friendly and attentive. We had a very good time in pleasant surroundings with a casual and friendly vibe.“
“We went back a second time. This time I ordered the Mediterranean Burrito because I wanted to try something new and I was so pleasantly surprised the first time I did that. As it turns out, it was equally as delicious as the Caribbean Burrito. I'd also like to point out that they are very accommodating about omitting or replacing ingredients in order to make things vegan and/or vegetarian.“
“Nice ambiance with the beautiful wooden bar, copper tables and fireplace. We enjoyed our server: she was friendly and fun! She helped us decide on 1/2 order of the bacon and jalapeño Mac and cheese (delicious and verrry filling) and nachos (good) to share.“
“I was really craving some fish and chips while I was in Pismo but the lines everywhere were soooo long that I decided to look up places nearby that were (hopefully) less busy.. Mersea's came up first so we hopped in the car and drove to avila to try it out! The staff was so friendly and helpful, and the resturant allows dogs indoors, which you don't see often! I really liked the decor in here, it was very steampunk sea themed, and they had some cool little features like port holes that looked to the water below (the resturant is on the peir!) but the place was SO SMALL that we had to stand in the walk way while we waited for our food because there were no more tables inside and it was SO WINDY outside! I really enjoyed the fish and chips, and my toddler enjoyed the chicken strips, but the rest of my family was left underwhelmed with their meals and said they wouldn't stop here again. Ultimately, I'd say this place is a great choice if you want to get away from the crowed restaurants near by, but keep in mind that the seating is limited indoors.“
