Sweet Reef Boba + Taiyaki Morro Bay offers a delightful dining experience. The staff is praised for their excellent service and warm hospitality. The menu features a variety of boba drinks, including taro milk tea, strawberry matcha, and brown sugar matcha, all with the option of adding boba. The taiyaki, a Japanese fish-shaped cake, comes in flavors like Nutella, cookie butter, and cream cheese taro, which are widely acclaimed as delicious. The restaurant's loyalty program, where customers earn a free drink after eight purchases, is a thoughtful addition.
Customers enjoy the mango slush, which has a delicious mango flavor, and the strawberry milk tea with boba, which has a gentle taste similar to Häagen-Dazs strawberry ice cream. The boba is not as chewy as some prefer, but the overall experience is still enjoyable. The owner is described as being super down-to-earth, and the workers are noted for their friendliness. While it may not be the best boba place in a different city, customers appreciate having the option in Morro Bay, as there are no other boba shops in the area.
