I've lived in Morro Bay my whole life! I've shopped at Albertsons since I was a young girl. I use to love this store, I will say its staff is still amazing! But I'm giving it a one star rating because they re-did this store and they didn't take care of it at all. They did all this work to remodel it and they never clean the parking lot and it's always so filthy. It's embarrassing that in our beautiful town we have a store who has trash all over the place and doesn't clean it up. I will also say, that it's this way no matter what season it is, but when it's tourist season its almost unbearable to go and see how much they don't care about our beautiful little town and their own store. It's so bad that I have debated calling the city to complain. They should take a lot more pride in the place they area and their appearance.

Very uncomfortable waiting in line for 20 plus minutes on a Monday evening. 30 plus people in a line. 2 checkers. Unsafe conditions here.

This is honestly one of the worst stores I have ever shopped in. Half of their employees seem like they hate their job and they treat their customers terribly. I have been living here in Morro Bay for years and my wife and I have learned to avoid this place whenever we can. Seriously, where do I start? As stated previously, most of the employees are rude and act like they hate being there; not to mention the inflated prices. What really set me off was my experience today on Christmas. The store was slated to close at 4 and I literally arrived at the door at 4:02 because I had to go back to my car to retrieve my wallet. There was a young "gentlemen" at the front door who very rudely told me they were closed and he was not letting anyone else into the store. I explained that all I needed was a container of half and half and I would be out of the store within minutes, along with identifying that I originally arrived before the closure time. The "gentleman" explained that it was not his problem and that they had to clear out the store because they had stuff to do. I asked to talk to the manager, as well as the assistant manager and I was told that my concerns did not warrant a discussion with either. After restating I would like to talk to management, I was basically told to leave because the police would be arriving shortly. I was honestly taken aback by the response, not to mention the behavior of the male employee at the door. This is very unbecoming of a corporation such as Safeway/Albertsons and I can honestly say this solidifies the Morro Bay Albertsons as the worst establishment in the town. The store can bet that I will be in contact with their corporate office, as well as their district manager because this is not how customers should be treated.

Manager Michelle and Florist Hayle, are my HEROS!!! I came into the store distraught, I was getting married the next day in Santa Barbara, was on my way there, when my flowers that I had ordered from a local florist (Harbor Floral) showed up in horrible condition! It was awful and I was a mess to say the least. So, through tears asked if there was a person in the floral dept? Michelle said not yet but the person was scheduled to come in later, was there anything she could help me with? I broke down and said I have a wedding emergency. She stepped right up and said, Let me see what I can do! She immediately contacted her employee (Hayle) to see if she could be there early to help out. Turned out Hayle was already at work but just hadn't started her shift and jumped to the rescue! Hayle was amazing, she took care of the situation and fixed it on the spot!! And we were able to get on the road to Santa Barbara without much of delay. These two need to be commended for taking what was a wedding disaster and saving the day!! Outstanding customer service from both. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, everyone commented on how beautiful the flowers were.

Obviously the place to shop when I'm in Cayoucos The sushi is really good, and reasonably priced, deli is fresh, nothing really bad to say. BUT, I can't give it 5 stars due to the piss poor service. The deli people are slow, and don't seem very interested in helping. The kid at the front directing traffic flow was incompetent, rude and just flat out shouldn't be working with customers. Everyone was waiting in line and he couldn't seem to figure out where to send people not only holding up line overall but didn't seem to see that he was the issue, wanted to blame the customers in line for the confusion when he was just unable to do his job..... Upping the customer service, a little better training would go a long way.

Workers here are very courteous of keeping everything Covid-free. I'm glad that I can shop without feeling like I've entered a contagion-zone.Also, everybody works hard here. That doesn't go unnoticed. Every time I'm having trouble with the machines, an actual person comes and helps. And one of the Employees even inserted a dime into the machine when my EBT couldn't pay for the bag. That was so nice! Thank you, hard working employees! Hope everything becomes less stressful!

I'm a typical guy and when it comes to grocery shopping, I'm a go in and get what I need then get out type of guy. I must say that this Albertsons is clean and nicely staffed. Due to Covid it was a little crowded but the line moved fast. Cashier was friendly. Definitely my to go place when studying in Cayucos. Thank you Albertsons. Kudos to you and your team!

Never Stocked- Prices Inflated: They had an ad for their weekly specials. Once again the meat was not in stock. This store has been inconsistently stocked since well before Corona Virus. Their prices continue to climb beyond compare to the Vons in the same company just one town away. $7.00 for whipping cream? $6.00 for eggs? Really? This is said to be their most profitable store on the coast between LA and SF when you see their inflated prices for basics you will know why.

We were in the area for a vacation and stocked up here. I don't see any Albertson's in the bay area anymore but it met the need...had what we wanted and we were in and out quickly.

We don't have Albertsons where I live any longer, so I don't shop at one often. We had recently had some amazing bakery cookies from an Albertsons in NM, so when I saw this store, I wanted to check it out. Of course the bakery area was at the opposite end of the store from where I entered. That wasn't a complaint...I love how huge the Albertsons stores are! So I found the cookies and picked us out a nice selection. The cashier who helped me was really nice. And we really enjoyed our cookies later that evening when we got back to our hotel.

Went into Albertsons today at around 130 to get a sandwich for lunch. Asked the clerk if I could get a vegetable sandwich and she told me "no". I then asked if I could get one of the meat sandwiches without the meat and was told "no". Don't think it's too far of a request. Don't know why she wouldn't do it. Nothing like trying to make the customer happy to be there.

I have seen a steady decrease over the last year. Every time I go they always have a handful of missing items on my list. Which is very frustrating. Whomever does the ordering really needs to get it together. Also a lot of the time the produce leaves something to be desired. They cannot even supply a popular ice coffee that is often sold out. I feel like they do a great job if you want to shop there Friday or Saturday since they seem to have fresh offerings and stocked for the weekend tourism, but what local wants to deal with the crowd!! Even worse now that Cookie crock closed because more people and still not supplying correctly! Get it together!
