Chapala is the BEST. I ordered My taco salad that was made wrong. I took It back and explained it was no problem I just Would like a new one made. As I was Waiting, the owner or head chef, unsure of his name, took care of my issue quickly and said come on over and have a seat, pulled out my chair for me with a bowl of chips and salsa. I was In no rush or upset by any means, just wanted the best taco salad in the world with no beans!! They have my upmost respect, business and recommendation.

Hands down one of my favorites. I am very picky when it comes to Mexican food, I believe that if I can make it better being a Mexican American then it’s just not worth it for me. The atmosphere is authentic, the food is DELICIOUS, the service is awesome!!! I will definitely be come to this restaurant when in Morro Bay!!!P.S: Sorry about the michelada pic. It was a late pic ? they make it all the way to the top!!

Nice restaurant. The service was great. The food is quite good. The tortilla chips are hearty and crunchy good. I thought the decor to be cheerful, festive, and colorful. I had the pork tamale and stuffed green chile, which was good. I would recommend Chapala and will come again when in town.

So far this is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Morro Bay (and I swear there are dozens). We just moved here from OC and to be honest, we're used to much better Mexican food in general. But this is the best one in town and the food is good and plentiful and the prices are reasonable. Service is great. Love the salads that come with everything.
