This is for those visiting on vacation with a medium to large sized party:

We attempted to dine here one evening while on vacation with another family, but we left after being kept waiting to sit for over 45 minutes (despite there being plenty of table space).

We had a larger sized party (10, although that included several kids). The place was fairly empty (3 small tables that had already been there a while). We asked if they could accommodate our party. After several minutes the lady came back and said yes. She began to put 2 tables together, but after it was ready she disappeared for over 15 minutes (off and on doing other tasks), and never made an effort to come back over to seat us.

It didn't seem until they noticed my friend and I discussing alternative dinner options, and then attempting to kindly let them know, that they were ready and willing to seat us. They seemed genuinely disappointed to see us leave, but I don't understand how any restaurant would be ok leaving its potential customers waiting to sit, while starting at a fairly empty restaurant, for so long. If the wait was so long just to sit at a table that was made ready for us, and we experienced a lack of attention after checking in for availability, then what would it have been if we chose to dine there? I'm sure it is challenging to hire and keep enough staff in Morro Bay, but the service from those that are working there should attempt to make up for it. Eat here at your own risk. We will try again next time we come to visit to see if they can help me change my review.

What a joy to discover DiStasios! From the moment we walked in we were treated like family! The staff is so amazingly kind and the food so incredibly delicious! It felt like our Italian grandma was cooking for us. Thank you for the wonderful meal and for making us feel so at home. Can’t wait to visit again!

Best place to eat after a 12 hour fishing trip on the Black Pearl. Wife and I both enjoyed our meals.

Great food, service and atmosphere. I had the dinner salad and lasagna and both were excellent choices for me. The service was excellent and very accommodating. I loved the atmosphere as well.

Three of us on a Friday evening. Lasagna and 4-cheese ravioli for two of us were excellent, as always. For the first time I had the butter squash ravioli: wow! I treasured each bite, taking time to savor the flavor. It could also be shared as an appetizer or as a savory dessert. you may gather that I was very impressed by it!

This place is awesome! I'm visiting all the way from Long Beach. I'm thankful I came here! Service, food, ambiance were on point.

We ordered the Beef Ravioli Con Quattro Formaggio, Caesar salad, and Italian platter with a glass of wine. It was very tasty and I didn't feel super bloated or anything after. I fersure dogged my plate!

I had the pleasure to meet D and mark. They were super awesome and welcomed us even though we can later towards closing. They were really accommodating, helpful, and entertaining.

I'm definitely going to come back and I recommend every tourist to try this place out

My experience here at Distasio’s was amazing! My boyfriend and I were in the area visiting and decided to eat here for dinner and I’m glad we did. Our server Dee gave us the best service and was super kind and welcoming to us even though we came in late. I got the Italian platter and my boyfriend got the house-made Raviolis which were both very delicious. Definitely would recommend if you want a nice, authentic Italian dinner. (:

Poorly made food, small waiting area with tattered Furniture covered with a thin couch cover, friendly servers. We ordered the bruschetta, as it looked so good on the google pic, only to discover it was made from a French roll cut into thick pieces which they did not toast before they put balsamic vinegar and the olive oil upon it which then made a nice crispy crust around the bread pieces but a soggy wet mess in the middle. Yuck. We ordered a halibut fillet which was flat, dry and tasteless. And the Au natural pasta we ordered had extremely too much chopped garlic in it, perhaps 2 tablespoons in one order of pasta, and the garlic wasn't sauteed before it was added to the pasta, it was put in raw, you know right from the jar.

It is an amazing place with words that can't describe it. You'll need to try when in the area. The owner came out and had a few good laughs with our family and really enjoyed the experience. My wife and I are on a gluten free diet at the moment and had a great menu to ease our minds on what we can order. Everyone was very helpful and caring. Must stop! God bless.

For our 3rd day in the United States with a 4 year old child tired of Jetlag we found our happiness at Distasios, thanks to their kindness and their service ?
They offer dishes for children that are very affordable and well served. We tasted the homemade dish and its meatballs were excellent. My partner ate 4 cheese ravioli which he enjoyed.
It's a kids friendly restaurant. We felt welcome with our son and were able to have a great time.
We were even given some advice on visiting Morro Bay ? I recommend, if you want to change from fish and chips, hamburger... a good dish of pasta and cheese for the children is great!
