Hofbrau in Morro Bay is one of our go-to spots, especially for their French dip sandwiches—they’re absolutely to die for! The chicken club is another favorite, and the kids always enjoy the burgers and other entrees. The fries are delicious as well! We love sitting out on the enclosed patio where we can stay out of the wind while taking in the view of the boats and Morro Rock. The line might seem long and out the door at first glance, but it’s fast, efficient, and the staff are always friendly. They also have a nice selection of beers to go with your meal. Great food, great view, great vibe—highly recommend!

Tried the French Dip Sandwich — The sandwich itself was solid. Great bread-to-meat ratio, with soft, fresh bread and incredibly tender meat. I wasn’t a fan of the au jus dip — it tasted pretty salty, though I’m not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to be. Either way, it just wasn’t for me. I’d honestly rather enjoy the sandwich on its own without the dip.
Service was great — the staff was nice, friendly, and made the place feel really inviting. That kind of warmth always makes the experience better, even if the food isn’t a perfect match for your taste.

We love Hofbrau! We have been coming here for years, even when they had a restaurant in Atascadero. The food is constantly good. I love their pastrami mini sandwich, and my husband gets the roast beef dip. They are so good! They always have kind servers and get food out quickly. And how can you beat the view of Morro Rock while eating a yummy sandwich!

I love eating here. Everytime we come to the beach this is the place we go to eat. It's quick, delicious the service is great, it's quite right next to the water it's always a great experience totally recommend

I could smell this burger and followed the aroma until I was almost at the docks and boom take that hard right in the door to find a hidden treasure and no its not the salad or fries that will bring you back but that burger! The back patio has cozy seating but we ate inside and enjoyed the views.
