After spending some time wandering the beach I was craving some seafood. Just around the corner by the marina I found this spot. It was a Saturday afternoon and a line had formed. Seemed like a good sign. The line moved quick. Lots of choices. I went with what was touted as the “local favorite” 2 pieces of fish, fries, sourdough bread and cup of chowder. This was about $18. Cute place with no frills food and good clam chowder. No locally caught fish here yet they’re right next to the fishing boats. The guy taking orders was not real friendly and didn’t know the menu. The salmon tacos were pretty basic with wheat tortillas and lots of lettuce. Would’ve been better Baja style. On a positive note, my mom loves the clam chowder here!

I recently tried the clam chowder bowl, and while it certainly had a creamy texture, it tasted more like cream of broccoli than classic clam chowder. I did find a small piece of clam, which was a pleasant surprise, but I wouldn't quite label it as chowder.
