Tldr; burnt pizza, sparse toppings, bad presentation, tasty food.

Came here because of the high reviews and ended up with a not as great experience. For starters, I'll admit that the southwest bbq was a flavorful and fun pizza, but that is pretty much where the good of our experience ends. The main strikes were the burnt crust, somewhat sparse toppings, and presentation.

Normally I like the crust, but I couldn't bring myself to eat them after I finished the first, see photos. For accuracy sake I show the same piece on both sides so lighting can't be blamed.
Presentation was disappointing, the pizza gave the vibes of an underfed puppy or a fixer upper house; It could be so much more.
Sparseness of topping was interesting, when we got the pizza we sat there looking at it wondering if we were missing toppings. We got a 50/50 split, and the bottem half looks like it's just cheese and sliced basil. See last photo.
We had two neutral expeiences which did enhance the negative experience: they don't do free substitutions (remove goat cheese, add spinach) and the food was a bit slow even though there weren't many people. Normally I wouldn't care, but now I do.

If it wasn't for us not eating in 8 hours and my wife feeling under the weather, we would have sent the food back. I had little interest in waiting another 30 minutes for a properly made pizza.

Been going to Pizza Port for years. Long Before Tim bought the place. Fun to sit in a pizza pub and watch Surf movies. However, after the last few visits I am disappointed. The quality of the Ingredients are okay. The issue is value. For the cost and how few toppings they use. It feels like a tourist trap where it’s just about location not quality or value. Come on Tim, for a nearly $40 Large pie put some more toppings and sauce. Or not….and just bank on location.

Enjoyed a medium Margherita pizza and Anti Pasto salad, always a delicious pizza and I really love the taste of their crust!

We took our dog and sat in outdoor area, always try to visit at least once a year but it's a long drive for us. Pizza is made with fresh toppings and has a good flavor.

Huge diversity of pizzas -- there's something for everyone in your gang! Ours grabbed a big table and relaxed and gabbed and ate -- a great mini reunion.
