Stopped in tonight for a beer and ended up ordering a Shepard’s Pie as well. It was the BOMB! Have been here before and had a burger and the Sunday Brunch - both excellent. Great food and friendly staff. Wish they had a full liquor license/bar and more beer selections - maybe in the future. Definitely a place to visit when you are in MB

My family and I were so looking forward to eating at Sammy J's. We had looked at the menu on Instagram, and we were excited to try several of the items. We also noticed that they served a Sunday brunch buffet during football, and serving time started at 10am. Unfortunately, when we got there for dinner at 5:50pm, all of the food from the buffet was STILL sitting out. The burners were all off, the foil was peeled back on the half empty pans, the gravy was congealed. It was obvious that brunch was long over, and nearly 8 hours later, no one had taken the time to clean up. All I could think was "do I want to eat food prepared by a kitchen staff that thinks this is ok?" I voiced this to my family, and we all agreed, no, we did not. So we left. I realize that this is a new business, and there are kinks to work out... Perhaps we'll try again in the future, but this was a terrible first impression.
