Absolutely recommend this place, some of the most fully flavored smoky tri tip I have ever had.
Decided to stop by while passing through town and wanting to try something new.
Was met by the owners son who was the kindest guy ever! Extremely welcoming and made sure we loved our meal.
Decided to try the tri tip and it was absolutely perfect. Perfectly smoky where you can taste it before you eat it but not overpowering.
Amazing bbq sauce to go along with it and one of the best rolls / buns I’ve ever had.

First time coming here and WE LOVED IT. The friendly girl at the counted recommended the tri tip and pulled pork sandwiches which were generously overflowing with meat. The portions were so big, I could only eat 1/2 of my sandwich. The homemade chips were just as delicious. The staff was so friendly. We will definitely be back.

We stopped here for lunch and ordered smoked tri-tip sandwiches which were so delicious! They even make their own chips that were really, really good! We met the owner who was very nice! We loved the relaxed vibe and the music from the 70's was so awesome!!! Loved this place! :)

Great food, super friendly service. Loved the small shop atmosphere. We had the burger, pork loin sandwich, and chicken sandwich, as well as some ribs. I'm not a BBQ person in general, but everything here tasted delicious, especially the crispy onion rings!

I only occasionally write reviews,but after my experience here yesterday, this review is a MUST. My husband and I stopped in for lunch We split the ribs. THE RIBS ARE DELICIOUS. Among the best we have EVER enjoyed!! The photo is the split order we were served…In reading over the reviews this morning, I was shocked to see that others found them a disappointment! Just proves how much folks’ food tastes can vary I guess. Meaty, juicy, smoky, with an amazing rub, yet served with a delicious sweet smoky BBQ sauce for dipping on the side. Try them for yourself!!! DON’T MISS OUT!! The owners are friendly, down to earth and kind. The place is super clean. What a delight!! Thanks to the owners for making our trip to Morro Bay more memorable! We came to the area for seafood and turns out the ribs were the most memorable meal :D

Stopped in on a Friday afternoon in the summer. There was plenty of parking on the street. No waiting and ordered at the counter. I had the tri-tip sandwich, excellent smoke flavor, thin, melt in your mouth slices. The sauce was great, the right amount of sweet, tangy, and spice. The slaw was fresh. The service was excellent. I highly recommend!
5 mins ago: Just went politely to ask the kitchen if they offer veggie patties. Straight away a blonde girl in the kitchen (describing her because I don’t know her name) heard my English accent and rudely said “we’re in America, we don’t have vegetarians here”. Walked straight out before I said something back. What is wrong with people to get so offended by dietary preferences. Absolutely disgusting service right off the bat.

Ordered 3 meals, they took a while which wasn't a deal breaker. They brought out my daughter's sandwich and it was wrong. Then we watched an employee use her bare hand repeatedly to put chips in our baskets. My husband asked for a refund for this. The manager then began to argue with him stating this is acceptable for the food industry. I stepped in and let her know i work in a food laboratory and this is absolutely not okay. She said i wanted to argue but in truth if she would've just issued the refund without trying to scold my husband we would of just left. Will never go back or recommend.

Let’s talk about the Tri Tip Sandwich—8 inches of pure, smoky, juicy, melt-in-your-mouth heaven. It’s so moist and tender, I almost proposed to it. (No regrets. It said yes.) The flavor? Imagine if a cowboy rode a mesquite-scented unicorn through a cloud of hickory smoke and dropped a sandwich straight into your lap. Yeah. That good.
Now the onion rings… I need a moment. 😮💨 CRISP PERFECTION. These babies are golden halos of crunchy bliss. Guy Fieri would fist-bump the chef. Bobby Flay would retire. Gordon Ramsay would call them “bloody brilliant” and toss Carl’s Jr and Burger King’s sad excuses into the bin.
And it gets better: the vibes are immaculate. Chill downtown location, great staff, and the friendliest doggos this side of the dog park. I swear one winked at me like, “Yeah, human. You get it.” 🐶🎶
