Great food. Authentic šÆ
El Viejon describes their food perfectly; we have been here twice. The first time l, the breakfast burrito was terrible to my husband who never complains about his food. We forgot about this experience and went back. The salsa bar was clearly from at least the day before and the red sauce was rancid. Unfortunately, they were still cooking with it. I hesitantly returned the dish I switched my father in law for and the guy couldnāt understand what ābadā meant until I directed him to the salsa bar to tell him to taste the salsa. He tasted it and shuddered. I then just ordered plain carne asada tacos. There was no flavoring on the beef and here is the most important thing: it was smelly, and clearly past its due date. Several people came in to eat after us and I want to emphasize this point: The man never emptied the salsa from the bar. My husbandās breakfast burrito was again terrible, the beans were bad, along with everything is; he ate it without complaint. My father in law had to initially switch me plates because the scramble I ordered was supposed to have no onions and there was so much tomato, onion and jalapeƱo you could barely see the egg. It was spicy even for my Mexican FIL. I donāt know how they stay open, but they clearly do not care what they feed people and if the department of health came for a visit, they would shutter them immediately. It was a Saturday morning, I canāt imagine what their food tastes like on a Wednesday.

Every time we go to a Mexican restaurant I have to try the chilaquiles. These by far are the best Iāve had! The beans are the best beans you can ever have. The tacos are also very delicious. Definitely a place to come back to eat to when coming back to Moro Bay in the future.

Love this spot and āThe Old Manā. Veggie burrito for me, crispy chicken tacos for the kiddo and Tacos Carnitas Y Pastor for my sweetie. Salas Bar is fresh and delicious. Grab your food and head to the beach. Truly one of my favorite taquerias on the Central Coast and in all of California!

Best tacos in Morro Bay!
I come every Tuesday for the pastor taco special (2 for 1)
I recently moved here and have had a hard time finding good authentic Mexican food but I found it with Tacos El Viejon.
Meat is flavorful. Salsa verde is delicious. Do yourself a favor and try this place!
They have specials tuesday-thursday and theres Birria, pozole and Menudo on the weekends.
I wish i took a picture of the tacos but they were so good i ate them too fast. Iāll try to remember next week.
Dietary restrictions: I canāt eat onions and even when i forget to order it without onions, the chef remembers for me.

The food is authentic and amazingly delicious! I had the 2 chiles rellenos combo plate with corn tortillas and I highly recommend it! The staff was very friendly and fun to talk to in Spanish.

Best tacos Iāve ever had in my life and the people working are the hardest working and most respectful that Iāve ever met at a restaurant.

We love eating at Tacos El Viejon. It is a Spanish language imersion experience, full of Mexican culture. Spanish on the TV, Spanish spoken at the tables, and at the counter, if you wish. We especially love the cheese and shrimp tacos, the carnitas, and the al pastor. The crispy tacos are a treat. They are deep fried shells, not the store bought box style. Everything is very good. The green sauce is tasty, flavorful, without too much heat. The food is on the salty side, and I like it, it goes great with cold beer. This is a fun experience with a sweet and friendly crew. Parking is on the street and in the back. Very convenient. Plenty of indoor only seating. Tami says try 'em brah!

Came here to have some tacos. Found they had a deal for the tacos. So we go buy one get one free on their chicken tacos on Wednesdays. The gentleman that helped us was really nice and funny.
