Grown up here and just never really been the biggest fan if they're style of Thai food but they're Cuban food was really good! I got the rice wraps with avocado- charged extra for avocado but was badly given any. Sauce was amazing though. And the rice and beans mix with the fried plantains was really good. Had the pad Thai and it was too sweet for me. At least they had options but could use some more options
Honestly shocked by the quality of the food here. Wasn’t expecting anything fantastic from a Thai restaurant in Morro Bay at all. We have the garlic pepper fish and red curry vegetable. Took a minute to prepare because they were making everything fresh. Food was EXCELLENT. Unbelievable. I’m from LA so I have a high bar for Thai Food. Still in shock. Highly recommend both the dishes we had.
I have been here several times as I live nearby but after having been fooled the last 2 times will not return. I think the food is good enough but it is soooo pricey. (And I do realize prices have gone everywhere). The last time I got some curry to go and when I got home and looked at my tiny portion I was appalled. Had to go to the grocery store to get some snacks we were both still hungry. Over $60 should make 2 people satiated.
We eat at Milanes every time we visit Morro Bay. The food is to die for! My favorite plate is the Ropa Vieja as pictured. My husband enjoys the Pan con Bistec but loves all of the Cuban sandwiches. My children love to order from the Thai menu, specifically the curries. The owner always comes out to check on our food and make small talk. He is an amazingly nice guy!
Ordered drunken noodles and pad see ew. Food was OK but nothing special. Price per dish is almost double what I usually pay and the portions not as big. My friend ordered a Cuban sandwich and it took over 40 minutes. It was finally brought to the table as everyone else was finished so she took it to go.
Every time we visit we are happy with the experience. The food is incredible, we got the panang curry and the pad Thai this time around. The pad Thai is super filling, and so I saved about half for later, when our waiter noticed that he actually offered to get me something else, assuming I didn't like it. The service was incredible and it feels as if a lot of care is put into the food. I would highly recommend visiting this place. Every time we visit the area visiting Thai bounty is a priority.
Spicy chu-chi fish is really good, better than expected. A little salty, but I liked it that way.Husband had the gallano Cubano, also really nice. And the mojitos are excellent.Wonderful, caring service.
Thoughtful and delicious food! I tried the Cali Cuban and Bistec plate - both were amazing and a welcome new flavor to the bland culinary landscape of the central coast. The staff was warm and seemed to be 100% behind their product, even drawing ❤️ U on the to go boxes. ❤️ U, too!
They serve Thai and Cuban food here. The food was good. But, I'm rating my visit 3 due to our appetizer having a long hair in it. And it took 40 minutes to get our meal.
Cuban sandwich is YUMMY.. we drive the 40 miles at least once a month!!

Ate lunch at Milanes Cuban (shares the property with Thai Bounty) and enjoyed the Cuban sandwich. The bread was fresh and flavors matched some of the best I have had in Florida. Perhaps a bit pricey but I understand this is tourist zone. Would like to return for dinner sometime and try ropa vieja - they brought a plate to a nearby table and it smelled and looked delish.
Poor customer service. They forgot to put avocado in my dish, charged me for avocado, and when I said ee didn't have avocado, they said it was very small. Pretty rude. I will not go there again. It used to be a very good place, not anymore.
Interesting the owner is Cuban and his wife is Thai. The Cuban sandwich was great. Another place to add to places I'll gp back to!
When you think of Morro Bay, you don't typically think of Cuban food; however, my boyfriend and I were SO glad that we chose Milanes Cuban (shares the kitchen/cash register of Thai Bounty) for one of our 5 meals in Morro Bay. He had the Ropa Vieja and I had the Cali Cubano sandwich. Both were delicious, but my sandwich was amazing!! A Cubano sandwich is normally pretty good anywhere you go, but what set this sandwich apart was the homemade bread. Was the restaurant understaffed because of the employment shortage? Yes, it was. Like many restaurants these days, this was not the restaurant's fault, and we need to give them some grace in our ratings. Did we mind having to wait a little while longer to eat one of the best meals on our vacation? No we did not! My only wish...is that they would open a restaurant in my town!
You may wait a while if it's busy. It's worth it. Totally different spices and tastes. Unique cuisine in casual setting. Worth the price.
