Amazing meal!!! I started with the clam chowder. Family recipe since 1966! So good!! My husband and I had the special blackened rockfish AMAZING!! we had dessert today chocolate torte it was very good. We ordered a bottle of wine which was excellent Zenato Pinot so that added $36 to the food bill.
Had dinner there on Saturday. Everything was perfect. Great food, attentive and friendly staff and incredible views.
My partner and I spent the day in Morro Bay and came by this restaurant on our stroll along the coast. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We were seated after waiting for 20 minutes- what's good about this location is you were able to go for a stroll and enjoy the views while waiting.
Pros: the views and service were both great
Cons: the overall food quality does not match the cost
Both my partner and I were quite disappointed in the quality of the food. My partner ordered the shrimp scampi- shrimp was overcooked and chewy, and both the shrimp and pasta were not flavourful. I ordered the halibut with mashed potatoes and vegetables. I enjoyed the halibut and mashed potatoes as they were both decently seasoned, but the seasonal vegetables were bland and undercooked.
Our whole meal, with 1 soft drink came up to nearly $125 (tip and tax included). Quite steep for a meal that was underwhelming and nothing too unique about it.
Absolutely phenomenal food and service. Well worth it even if you’re not ordinarily a seafood fan.
The food was great, particularly the filet mignon. Not only was it good, but it came out quickly. Our server was very kind and accommodating. We sat outside and despite the cold the heaters provided a cozy environment with a great view. A great date night spot indeed.
Food and service were excellent, and they have an amazing view of the Bay and the Rock. Went twice on my stay because I liked it very much. I loved the crab cakes as appetizer.
Upscale restaurant and good food. Service was very slow. Ended up leaving and only having appetizers.
It was our 2nd time there and just as amazing as the first. From the staff to the food to scenery everything is top notch! Definitely go if you're visiting Morro Bay like we have 2 years in a row.
We tried the jumbo prawn as a cold starter, but it didn’t quite meet our expectations. The shrimp scampi was good, though it wasn’t exactly what we were hoping for. However, the blackened rockfish was a standout and definitely worth a try

One night stay in Morro Bay 10/23. Motel where we were staying recommended The Galley. Twenty minute wait but, was well worth it. My husband had the sword fish, and I had the tacos. Both dishes were excellent.
Staff very nice. Highly recommend!
