Sushi was good. Sake cocktails are on the menu but they were out when we visited. Booths could use cushions for the backs, cannot lean back.

Since my last visit some nice improvements to the menu and ambience. Very comfortable and enjoyable dining experience. A delightful new addition to the menu is the appetizer of seared albacore. Happy to see a noodle dish that was needed for an Asian birthday celebration. The rest of the meal was hit and miss. Mostly miss. Sashimi options were limited to hamachi, maguro or sake. The hamachi served was all fatty belly. Oily and strong. Disappointed. The unagi was satisfying but not great. Godzilla roll would have been fabulous, even with the tired salmon component hiding in sauce, had the soft shell crab been freshly cooked before assembly and not days earlier. I’ve always gauged the quality of a sushi bar by the tamago and the miso. These both hit on mediocre for me. Tamago seemed to be a purchased product rather than house made. And lest I come off as snooty I must reiterate that my rating is still high. I’ll certainly return again. The service received was excellent.

Visiting town and this place was amazing!
Awful , waitress came of as very negative, and lots of attitude. Sushi wasn't fresh considering we are next to the coast line . Also, the were out of oysters ,how I don't know if we live next to the beach again . Ordered the rain bowl and did not get that , got a completely different roll . Never returning again .

My niece was very impressed with the knowledge the waitress had about Celiacs and knew that one dish was not gluten free that she wanted to order, so she suggested another one. She and her daughter are also vegan so had edamame, pickles, and vegan vegetable rolls. She said it was the best Japanese food she has ever had. Her other daughter had the Philadelphia roll, rice and ice cream. My mother and I had the Teriyaki Chicken bowl and I also had the shrimp tempura appetizer. The teriyaki bowl was good, but could have used more teriyaki sauce and the rice should have been cooked with salt in the water because it was tasteless. The tempura was excellent. The waitress was friendly. My mom was in a wheelchair so I had to drop her off and park in a lot a block and a half away as there was no handicap parking nearby. The elevator was working that day, but I was told it doesn’t always work. She never would have made it up the stairs if it didn’t. It was very foggy, so unfortunately we couldn’t see the view. A child kept talking excruciating loud the whole time we were there, so it was very hard to hear. We were seated by the door, so it was very cold for my mom. We had a good time though. The bill for the 5 of us was $120.

Everything was good. My husband had Sushi combo and I had Tempura and Spicy Tuna roll, my daughter had California roll. They liked their foods. I enjoyed my Tempura and rolls with nice cold beer. Service was great and the view was nice also.

1. Delicious. The fish was fresh. The food was filling and the wasabi was also fresh and subtle.
2. Great vegetarian options. My wife had the best Sushi related meal ever, including our trip to Japan. Noodles, tempura, and she loved the Yuzu sake.
3. Owned up to issue. I had something in my sake bottle. They saw it, owned it, and replaced it. I love when restaurants own up to an issue.
Myleigh (sp?) our server was outstanding, especially the sake issue. Honestly, I would come back to Morro Bay just to eat here.

Ordered the $85 Umi Boat tonight, all three sets of sashimi tasted very off (salmon, tuna and white fish). Definitely the worst quality fish ive had in ages. Slimy and old. 2 hours later both my girlfriend and I now have brutal stomach aches and gas. Go somewhere else if you want sushi. Their fish is terrible.

Good sushi, especially given the town size. Nigiri was great, highly recommend the fatty salmon & fatty yellowtail. Rolls were on the heavy side, and rice fell apart easily, but the combinations + sauces were incredibly tasty.
