The lodge itself is cute and charming, and my first impression of our cabin was the same. Rustic charm. Since we attended our sons wedding that evening, we got back to our cabin around 10:30 PM. It was unusually cold for October 9th. We tried to turn the heater on, but it didn't really seem to work. Tried the electric blanket, and it didn't work. Luckily we had 2 beds, so stripped all the blankets from the one bed and added them to the bed we slept in. Bathroom faucets in that cabin are terrible. They extend literally to the edge of the sink, so washing your hands and face, are not easy to do. I decided to skip the shower. No heat in that bathroom.
We stayed 9 days at the Mt Baldy Lodge in cabin 6. The cabins are very cozy and welcoming. We really enjoying having coffee and breakfast on our private patio right outside our cabin under beautiful blue sky's. We also had a few great meals including very tasty taco's on taco Tuesday! The entire staff for both the restaurant and cabins were excellent and the hospitality was top notch !! The grounds at the lodge are very inviting and so comfortable it is just a great place to relax. They also have quite a few activities such as a pool, ping pong, basketball, volleyball sand court, pool table you never have to leave. Although I stayed there while I was closing escrow on a cabin up the road from the Lodge I will go back to stay again as it is just so welcoming !! It truly feels like a Holiday when you stay there no matter what time of year it is !! I recommend it highly !!
Was a awesome time. This was 5th birthday spent uo there . Pops and I love the place, and always great service and friendly. Already have plans for next year. Planning a trip with friends and get a couple cabins.
Log Cabin rooms are the perfect mountain experience for your getaway. a clean cool swimming pool is perfect for those summer days. Great activities like live music and a horseshoe pit, basketball, and volleyball courts make it fun for the whole family. The on-grounds Restaurant "The Mt Bald Lodge provided great food and a full bar! I would recommend a stay for anyone trying to get out of the city!
Very clean cozy cabins. My only suggestion is to bring snacks to tide you over until the restaurant has opened. Be sure also to understand if the cabin/room has a kitchen or microwave. When you arrive go to the restaurant to check in and get instructions on where to park. Parking is generous an right where you are staying.
I reserved a one night stay in cabin 4 at the Mount Baldy Lodge in mid June 2021, checking in after 4 pm after a hike on mount baldy, planning to stay the night and then hike again the next day. The cabin is small (about 200 square feet) and there is a mid size outdoor pool on the property. The cabin has a small functional bathroom, double bed, windows with screens and an ancient looking coffee maker, that I did not try. The restaurant closes at 7 pm (weeknight) and there is no grocery or other store in mount baldy village, The cabin was clean and inspection did not reveal any bed bugs. For one person it would be ok for a stop over except for the lack of AC. The is an electric fan in the room that made no temperature difference. It was about 75 F. outside in the evening and about 95 F. in the cabin, with all the windows open. I stayed there until 10 pm and then could stand the dry high heat in the cabin no longer, so as instructed at check in I left the key in the room and left, for the cool coast. There was no evident nuts in the lodging area just the usual apparently harmless California humanoids who avoid speaking to any unknown biomass that crosses their path, at most a guttural acknowledgement if you insist on a greeting upon approach. Despite the screens there was an accumulation of flying insects inside the cabin as the evening progressed, although none seemed interested in biting me and I did engage with a chemical warfare aerosol in their general direction.
My family rented out all the cabins available and had the best time ever. We love the Mt Baldy. Lodge. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay perfect. We made some memories we will never forget.
A life saver. I never write reviews but this place deserves one! There isn’t a better place in all of my bike rides. Please stop and enjoy! You’ll be so happy you did! 10 stars! Thank you for the coffee and peanut butter toast with bananas, dates, and honey.
Great place to get juice drinks.

We’ve stayed her for my GFs day for the last several years. We love the no frills, but cozy feel. The new floors are a great touch! The lodge service is great and it’s a close get away. We love that it feels like you’ve tracked far, but it’s a quick drive. Looking forward to our next visit!
just tried them this weekend had smoothie excellent👍😁❤️
just tried them this weekend had smoothie excellent??❤️
I like the hott chicks that work in the restaurant
I pretty much grew up there. The Ellingsons owned it at the time. Oh my God Ole was a hoot and Ron was so quiet. I used to man the front door on the weekends, drink for free and pass out on the back patio in a sleeping bag. I even got married to my second wife and ha a honeymoon cabin but it was crashed till the sun came up by all my friends' . My friends were ski bums, fisherman from Alaska and even a guy that looked like a Fashion model. It was my version of club 54. What a great experience. never left the Mountain back then.
