3.9 stars. Unfortunately just short of 4.OK coffee shop (not a "cafe") with an OK vibe and ambience, serving OK mocha and tea in OK paper cups (even when ordered to "drink in") by a barista with an OK+ customer service attitude. They *do* have a well-working wi-fi and also showed a ski short film on a projector when we were there. Overall, just OK, but has growth potential.

Nice and quiet atmosphere in the off season. Great service, and the best golden milk I've ever had. Not sure that's the best name for it, but it's good stuffDietary restrictions: Oat almond and soy substitutes

Looking for a latte, pastry or a pet friendly hotel, well Finlandia is the place for you. I have passed by this hotel over and over again while in Mount Shasta because I thought it was a hostel until last week. I Yelped looking for a place to get a latte near my husbands job site and Finlandia popped up. Hmm... I met him there and I was greeted by guests walking their dogs, a kennel with some lovely pooches, mountain bike storage, hammocks, lots a parking, and of course a cafe. I was able to order a delicious latte from a friendly barista and sit down in a nice quiet sitting area with tables and Wi-Fi. The barista is the one who gave me the rental info on the cute property. The hammock rooms are perfect if you have kids.

We showed up at this coffee “bar” last Saturday morning looking for a good espresso. Good espresso is the underpinning of any third wave café, otherwise a coffeehouse should stick to fraps and percolator drip, IMO. From the photos and reviews, this looked like maybe the only spot in Mt. Shasta worth going to and we were hopeful, but we were sorely disappointed. To start, the place was empty, which should have given us a clue, and the staff unexcited. Despite ordering “for here” the indifferent server used paper cups—possibly the worst affront to espresso itself. The shot was reductive, over extracted, poorly ground, and sour. I’ve had better from a nepresso. From the equipment it’s clear that once upon a time someone with knowledge and zeal built this neat coffee shop, but it has gone to the dogs. A La Marzocco does not a good barista make.

Their lemon blueberry muffin was to die for and though understaffed for the season the host and barista was the nicest ever!
