What a great place with great people and even better food. The food tastes like home made food. Never thought we would find such a gem in middle of Mt Shasta. We stayed for 2 nights and went to eat here every night. Tried almost everything vegetarian on the menu and loved it. Will come back.

This place is phenomenal. This was the best Indian food I've had, and the service was just as fantastic. We got the 16oz Chicken Curry as well as the Mushroom Masala Thali Style, with a side of Garlic Naan, Masala Chai, and Mango Lassi. The food tasted sooo good, and we had a lot of leftovers to take home and enjoy for another meal, which I am absolutely ecstatic about. That Mango Lassi was a dream for me, and I really wish I had ordered one to go afterward! We come through Mt. Shasta twice a year, but this is definitely a stop for me when I'm here.

Great hospitality. Loved the food quality and taste. We had House Daal and Butter Chicken Thali, both were great. We had also ordered Mango Lassi and were served freshly made lassi which stole the show. Thank you.

Food that brings you back to the home you didn’t know you missed…
Whether or not Indian food is a part of your culture, whether you find yourself passing through Mount Shasta for a day, a season, or a lifetime- Shri Ram restaurant provides a kind of food that nourishes more than just the body. The home cooking style cuisine and atmosphere is an unrivaled gem in this little town… You can enjoy views of mount Shasta from the restaurant, which is located at the bottom floor of a Victorian house on the edge of downtown and the neighborhood. Being able to experience the warming spices of India In an otherwise relatively culturally homogeneous town is a rare and unexpected delight. Worth the travel and worth the price considering that this business is genuinely family owned and run, with many ingredients needing to be imported. The best dishes on the menu presently (in my humble opinion) are the chicken curry, chana masala, lamb, and saag paneer.

Quite possibly the best Indian food I’ve ever had outside of India itself. The Nan is incredibly soft and pillowy, get the mango lassi it’s beautifully garnished with pieces of dried rose. The cheesy dessert is a REVELATION. Incredibly nice servers. Outstanding.

I’ll bring my mom here whenever she visits. That should say enough about the good food.

My friends and I were happy to see an Indian restaurant when we were visiting Mt. Shasta. We never tried homemade Indian dishes before, so we decided we must have one of our meals there.
It was very comfortable inside the restaurant. We loved the ambience, the cool breeze with the windows opened, and the attentive customer service.
We were really, really impressed by their Lassi--they were the best we had tried in Northern California. I personally loved both the Rose ($8) and Mango ($7) flavors. I also loved that they served the Chai with a biscuit, one of the ways Indian people pair the Chai with.
As for the entrees, I wasn't too fond of the vegetarian dishes; but I liked the Chicken Curry and Butter Chicken. The spicy level of the dishes was a little too high for me. But I guess that's average for the Indian taste bud.
The restaurant also sells pre-packaged kulfi (an Indian frozen dairy dessert) in a small freezer near the register. The kulfi comes in a cup or on a stick. The only thing was--they were all expired. So make sure you look at the expiration dates first if you're to buy one.
Although the prices were on the higher end, just for the sake of the drinks, I truly wish there's a restaurant like this in my hometown.
Highly recommended!

There were at least 20+ FLIES flying inside the restaurant today😫…. That was crazy!!! 😱Never entered a place like that in my life…. How do I trust my food is clean while the restaurant has bugs flying and no one seems to care about it?
I don’t understand how others give high ratings for this place. Even though the food tastes wasn’t bad, I will never come back again…..
Saag paneer was okayish, butter chicken was very average. An underwhelming portion size of complementary rice is served along with curry. The price is super high both for quality and quantity. It took a long time to take our order as well. Not the place for Indian taste buds.
