All of the protein was overcooked, the mussels were rubber, even the chorizo. And I got shrimp on the pesto pasta, they had the tails still. And we also tried the Peruvian chicken and rice, most of the chicken was overcooked. And the rice was sort of flavorless, the sauce on the chicken was really good but seemed like the dish besides that sauce was bland. The waiter was very kind, great service. They refunded part of the mussels, we didn't bring up the rest since at that point we realized it may not have been just a one off bad dish. The decor is also a bit random, is it western? Italian? Deli? Log cabin? 😂😂 I apologize in advance for the opinion, my intention is only to give my perspective, not to hurt anyone.

And l don give a 0 stars because don't have the option, Sunday August 24 me and my family went to this restaurant to try their dinner food, but at first everything start well. They give me table for 5 people. And then they never attend my table again, but they attend another tables. They never come back at least to offer drinks. But they serve drinks to all around us. So after 45 minutes wait , we decide go out and try another restaurant and we find a very good restaurant with good customer service and good food named sparky's landing.

After a long day of hiking, we decided to stop here for dinner. Glad we did! I got the 16 oz ribeye, cooked to perfection! My wife got the salmon, and it was very flavorful. We sat outside and enjoyed the warm afternoon.

Everyone was nice. BUT while getting a drink at the hotel bar (Harvest Restaurant) we encountered the rudest bartender EVER! We asked for a Mai Tai drink and you would have thought we had asked him for his first child born! He said In a manner that was straight out of central casting for rude bartenders, “we don’t make Mai Tais! We are a small bar in a small town, no one in Mt Shasta makes them”. My wife and I only drink while vacationing. We are grandparents who babysit our grandchildren five days a week. This was our weekend to have a drink. So, we said fine, we will look elsewhere. He became Nathan Lane sarcastic! He went into a rant about Mt Shasta being a small mountain town, and that no bar in town was stupid enough to keep all the ingredients for a Mai Tai drink around and let it rot, when only a few people order them. You can be rude to me, but don’t mess with my WIFE! I got mad and called him an assh_le! He went into damage control and bought our drinks. I will turn 70 this year and have been to many establishments in my time. But I have NEVER been waited on by such a blatantly rude person! The fact that management allows this type of behavior from their staff, is intolerable! We will NEVER go to The Harvest Restaurant again! Note to weary travelers who would like a GREAT drink and meal in Mt. Shasta and not be berated, and they DO have Mai Tais. Go to Puerto Vallarta Family Mexican Restaurant.

We reserved dinner tables for a large group of 20 that were in a time crunch to get to an event. Kimberly and her staff made sure we got our food in a timely manner without ever making us feel rushed. The food was served quickly and was excellent. Everyone in our group had a great time and a wonderful meal.

During our 3 nights stay with 2 kids (9/13 yrs) at Mt. Shasta city, we ate at various restaurants and diners. Dinner at Harvest was the most expensive and the least palatable. Spicy Spanish mussels was less Spanish and more Indian, it was good though! Steelhead salmon was good. Fried chicken was too salty and oily for our taste. Staffs were kind and the ambience was good.

Overpriced. Fried chicken was soggy and overseasoned, and the beet salad didn’t have pecans. The shortrib sliders had the consistency of canned dog food. Nice dressing on the beet salad though.

We stopped to eat at Harvest, when we wanted to take out a local who recommended it. I’m impressed that the small town of Shasta can support so many good restaurants! They had a large selection on the menu and the weight staff and atmosphere were friendly and laid-back.

I would definitely go again, though I didn’t give them a five star view because I do appreciate really good quality food and while their food was good it wasn’t five star.

Having said that myself and the friend I took out to eat are both excellent chefs so of course our rating from us it’s pretty darn good.

I had ordered the very simple fried chicken because the waitress said it was the best. I would not normally order such a plain thing, but she informed me that the chicken had been pre-cooked in a souls vida machine, so it was exceptional as it wasn’t Debri. It was exceptional! But the vegetables and macaroni and cheese that came with it were very bland and uninspired.

My friend ordered the duck which they enjoyed and looked good. Again, it was perfectly good just not inspired Chef kind of good!

I still highly recommend going there as one can expect to have a world class chef in the little town of Shasta can we? At a gas fireplace and really friendly atmosphere which made it all worthwhile.

While the food is good, but limited and highly overpriced for the quality, I would stay away from the bar. I was charged 12$ for a shot of whiskey that is 19.99$ a bottle at Walmart. I can't recommend drinking there unless you are bougie đŸ€Ł

Can’t wait to try more! The snapper was good.

Pretty mid quality food for the ridiculous prices. Got sat right next to the only other people on the restaurant when plenty of other tables were available and when we asked to sit somewhere else we were put next to the fish tank, which had an overwhelming odor. Already asked to move once so we just buckled down. The plates have potential but we’re just lackluster for the prices. Waitress was nice though
