We stopped to eat at Harvest, when we wanted to take out a local who recommended it. I’m impressed that the small town of Shasta can support so many good restaurants! They had a large selection on the menu and the weight staff and atmosphere were friendly and laid-back.

I would definitely go again, though I didn’t give them a five star view because I do appreciate really good quality food and while their food was good it wasn’t five star.

Having said that myself and the friend I took out to eat are both excellent chefs so of course our rating from us it’s pretty darn good.

I had ordered the very simple fried chicken because the waitress said it was the best. I would not normally order such a plain thing, but she informed me that the chicken had been pre-cooked in a souls vida machine, so it was exceptional as it wasn’t Debri. It was exceptional! But the vegetables and macaroni and cheese that came with it were very bland and uninspired.

My friend ordered the duck which they enjoyed and looked good. Again, it was perfectly good just not inspired Chef kind of good!

I still highly recommend going there as one can expect to have a world class chef in the little town of Shasta can we? At a gas fireplace and really friendly atmosphere which made it all worthwhile.

While the food is good, but limited and highly overpriced for the quality, I would stay away from the bar. I was charged 12$ for a shot of whiskey that is 19.99$ a bottle at Walmart. I can't recommend drinking there unless you are bougie 🤣

Can’t wait to try more! The snapper was good.

Pretty mid quality food for the ridiculous prices. Got sat right next to the only other people on the restaurant when plenty of other tables were available and when we asked to sit somewhere else we were put next to the fish tank, which had an overwhelming odor. Already asked to move once so we just buckled down. The plates have potential but we’re just lackluster for the prices. Waitress was nice though

I just returned home that day from a trip and didn't feel like cooking. I really liked the Harvest fried chicken in the past and ordered that last night for take out. I always get the mashed potatoes instead of the mac and cheese. I don't know if it was partly due to being boxed up for the 2 minute drive home, but the chicken was soggy, not crispy like it usually was. I've had the beef stroganoff before too, which I didn't care for. The sauce was wine based, not cream based, how I like it. However, the beef was very tender. Guess I need to try some new menu items.

No food should take over an hour to arrive. We ordered Lamb shank and Halibut. Both were special for the night.
No excuse why on earth it takes so long.
Everything here is on a snail pace. Bread came out about 30 minutes in, asked if we wanted another glass of wine so we said yes. So far, we've been waiting 15 minutes for that to No avail. I think they forgot. It's not busy either. Do not go here.

After over an hour, food finally came out. Rice was cold but fish was done in a good way and tasted good. Lamb tasted good too but too bad it came out so late.

The star ratings are relative, of course. For Mt. Shasta, this is great food. If you want a nice meal with reasonable service (not bad by any means) eat at Harvest. This was my second meal there and the food coming out of the kitchen both times was well prepared and flavorful.
Enlargements of historic photos of commercial kitchens of past eras is a unique touch.
Will return!

We ordered coconut cod, rigatoni pasta with salmon and budha bowl with chicken.
The last two dishes were decent with very less flavor. Coconut cod was bad, with a weird taste. Service was worse. We got the food exactly 50mins after ordering and they didnt inform us before that the food will be late. The server kept ignoring us when we tried to ask about the food after waiting for so long. Not worth the price.

Highly recommend the Pan seared Atlantic salmon dish(one of the daily special) saffron rice is aromatic and fish skin is crispy. Spices and components are very much dedicated. It can be a fine dining dish elsewhere! 6-layer chocolate cake is huge lol. Wait time is not short but totally worth it.

We ate here on our journey through California. I had the coconut cod, and it was the best cooked fish I probably have ever had. It was served on a bed of rice, but for the price, really needed a side of vegetables. My husband had fish and chips and devoured it. The place is very nice, with a great vibe and super clean. Would 100% eat here again.

Soggy calamari. Roasted jalapeño on plate instead of roasted zucchini which was on the menu. No mention that they were out of veggies when we ordered. They were out of some liquor for specialty drinks as well. Felt bad for server, she was bartending, serving, doing it all alone. Cute place but food is terrible. Will never go back.

This place is amazing! I ate here every night while I stayed at the Inn. I can’t even wrap my head around how amazing the food is. My background is in cuisine. So, I can confidently say that Sarah is a genius. Duck ragú, Peruvian chicken, braised ribs, braised lamb shank, Caesar salad….wow. I wanted to try everything on the menu. I still do. The staff is amazing. Kim ran the dinning area and bar beautifully. Thank you! See you all again soon.

I came to this restaurant because of the high reviews, and was staying at their partner hotel. We waited almost an hour for our food to arrive, then ordered bread, that I had to cancel after waiting for 20-30 minutes and finishing my food (this is for bread, not a meal)Now, I understand this is a small town with 1 person in the kitchen, one in the bar, and one in the floor. Communicating how long the food takes or help order items that won’t take long goes a long way. I have worked in the restaurant industry as well, there’s no reason why a salad should take 20-30 minutes to come out with less than 20 guests.Restaurant has decent food, the waiters are not bad, but you need to either hire more people or simplify your menu, NO ONE wants to wait 1 hour for the food to come out.
