We had the best dinner! Jameson took great care to explain and answer any questions on the menu - served us perfectly and couldn't have been more attentive! The menu is diverse and was hard to choose from so many great items. My husband had the flank steak- it was superb!! I had the fish tacos/ outstanding! The ambience and the view are amazing. We will definitely be back. Thank you Jameson!

We enjoyed delicious appetizer (strawberry crostini) and amazing salads! Setting and view of Mt Shasta was beautiful and the service was great as well! Highly recommend you stop by for a great meal!

Just had a meal here after hiking 7 miles on Mount Shasta on our last day in town, and it was the most amazing way to end our Fourth of July weekend. The staff is beyond friendly—Jameson, our waiter, was so attentive and lovely, and another waitress even stopped by to help when he was busy, offering me foil for my to-go bread so it wouldn’t get soggy with the pasta. So freaking thoughtful!

The food was so delicious—I had the pesto tortellini from their specials menu and it was perfection. And the views of Shasta? Just chef’s kiss. Feeling so grateful to have ended our trip with such a lovely meal here. Highly recommend!

The ribeye that we had was good but we enjoy the flank steak much more. The potatoes and asparagus were good as usual!

The Highland House Restaurant has become my husband and I's favorite spot for date night! We appreciate the friendliness of all the staff and their attention to detail. We always feel welcomed!

The only negative feedback I have is that the last 3-4 times I've visited, the food had been really salty. Maybe tone down the salt a bit, and it would then be perfect! Other than that, the new menu, the waitstaff, and the hostess were fabulous. Thank you!!

An hour wait for food, during which our server, Jameson, did not check with us a single time. I tried to flag him for ten minutes, when he finally saw me he ran into the kitchen, and then told us our food was on the way. When it arrived, ten minutes later, one order of fries was undercooked (visually) and cold, inedible. The sandwich and fried chicken were ok, not good. Jameson never checked in about the food. We finally flagged another server to take it away. Awful experience, and we left hungry. We only ate the sandwich because we figured there would be nowhere else open.

The view is outstanding!!

Absolutely not worth visiting. The dishes description is exaggerated in the menus.
All the four dishes that we ordered were much different than how they were described in the menu. The apricot chicken was the worst. They just slapped some jam on grilled chicken and served with 3 grilled asparagus; where the menu said chicken with apricot glaze and veggies.
