Pretty good ramen, great karaage. Quiet location with very quick service. Had the yuzu shoyu ramen. Quite light, but had a lot of yuzu flavour. The karaage was large and super juicy.Overall, not a bad spot for a quick, decently priced bite.

They've addressed large parts of the service issues from before abd the food is still good. Nice work!

$9 rice bowl is surprisingly filling. Service was decent. Its Good for a cheap meal.

This was by far the worst ramen place I've been to. I don't know if this Afuri is the same ramen chain in Japan, but the quality is garbage. The ramen was bland and basic. The dumplings didn't taste fresh and overcooked. Save your money, go to the Asian grocery store and buy instant ramen and frozen dumplings instead.

Ordered tonkotsu tantanmen from delivery, broth was way too thick that upset my stomach. Will not order from here again.

Kakuni pork bun is tasty with great seared crust and flavor balance. Steamed spicy dumplings also had great flavor (surprisingly authentic Chinese) although the few breached wrappers lost its 5 star review. Would definitely revisit.

I LOVE yuzu and evidently, so does this restaurant. A chain from Tokyo & also Portland, my friend from Osaka had never heard of it. So came in with no expectations. Parking in downtown Mountain View is always a pain. Some of my friends were visiting from out of town and really wanted to check the place out. So we met there. I opted for outside seating, it was a nice day. Unfortunately, the chairs weren't super covered and they were metal chairs so... They were BAKING hot. I asked the waitress if I could swap tables and the two of us moved one of the tables into the shade and I also swapped some of the chairs so friends wouldn't leave with burns on their behinds. Most of the tables in the shade were two-seaters and we needed a four-seater. That aside, I got seated pretty quickly. For lunch time on a Sunday, this place was pretty deserted. Only 3 parties besides us. I got the yuzu tsukemen, it was a hot day so I really wanted something cold. Omg, this was delicious! I had a bit of my friends yuzu shoyu and yuzu shio broths and they were really good. The yuzu shoyu was way more flavorful than the yuzu shio. When my friends tried my dipping sauce, they were hit by the strong yuzu. We all really liked the amount of yuzu in the dipping noodles though, don't get me wrong. Overall, would return. Maybe to the Cupertino location, parking is better there.

Yuzu ramen is speicial here, but it is a bit sour and different from regular rsmen. Personally i'm not a fan of it.Tontotsu ramen, karaage and pork bun are not bad. The pork is fried so not very oily.

Good place for some ramen. There are plenty of outdoor seating here. I'm not a soup person so I like it when I see dipping ramen options. The dipping ramen is good and as for the soup based ramens, the rest of my family enjoyed those. The soft shell crab bun is something I haven't seen at other restaurants and this was really good. Chicken karaage is also good.

Pretty good specialty Ramen with yuzu flavors. The bright citrus ramen really lightens up the usual heavy-ish Tonkotsu ramen served here and it's perfect for summer time or whenever you feel like you don't have good appetite. They have soup and tsukemen, all based on the same flavor profile, some seafood based dashi and citrus. Over time though, you thought it can be a bit boring and don't crave for it. But their noodles are consistently chewy, flavorful and well balanced. The fried dumplings are also one of their specialties on the menu but nothing really stand out. It's just like those frozen gyoza you bought from the supermarket. We also ordered steamed gyoza, seems like the same sauce of tsukemen that's dumped on top. What's bad is that the skin of the gyoza is all broken from the steaming so it's a big pile of mess, not recommended. When we visit the mountain view location it's really understaffed with only 1 server to attend to all the tables outside..He has a good attitude but not attentive enough to give us water and check. Overall it's a good place to change up the usual ramen game for some refreshing yuzu ramen. But probably you'd want to go to the cupertino location for better experience, for now.

Was so excited to try Afuri :( I've had it bookmarked for months since a coworker told me about it. Came here as a send off dinner with my team from Austin. I like that they have outdoor seating since we had a dog. The service was meh, we had to shout multiple times to get our waiters attention. It wasn't busy either, maybe 2 other tables in addition to ours. Also, we were given the drink menu but not told that they didn't have cocktails available until we tried to order them. The gyoza meat was dry, crumbly, and the skin was soggy. The ramen was underwhelming. It was almost as if they used the Tsukemen broth for the niniku but added some water to make it more liquidy. It was still so thick that I couldn't even drink the broth. The niniku is also not a Tsukemen so not sure why the broth was so thick. Maybe the Cupertino location is better or maybe it was an off day for MTV...

We've been meaning to try this place for awhile but due to COVID, a lot of plans changed. Finally did take out with my husband one day and he was SO impressed by the food, he proceeded to do 2 more rounds of take-out with his friends/co-workers! I, on the other hand, was NOT as impressed with the food. Their yuzu shio is light & refreshing, I'll give them that...but I'm not sure if I'm a fan of this house specialty flavor. Tonkotsu shio, on the other hand, is easily the gold standard for most people (including me)...but I thought their broth was SUPER heavy/salty and I've definitely had better at other ramen joints. This wouldn't be the first time I've had differing opinions from my husband, so to each their own!

We sat outside and had lunch The ramen was pretty good as were the fried chicken appetizers. I was especially delighted because the restaurant also provided a takeout container that separated the broth from the noodles to prevent the noddles from getting soggy and matched the decor of the bowls. I love the well designed and thoughtful touches!! Will definitely be back.

The dumplings mostly tasted oily; I know they are fried, but that flavor overwhelmed the rest. The ramen was fine; the noodles were a good texture but I found the chicken to be much less tender than the ramen place just down the street. Overall, I would come here only if I was really hungry and didn't feel like waiting for seating at another place nearby.

Talk about a meal that is truly worth RAMEN-bering. I'll admit- ramen isn't typically my favorite dish, especially with how heavy and greasy the broth and chashu tend to be at most ramen places. If you're like me, you definitely have to check out Afuri! Afuri specializes in yuzu ramen, and they current offer the yuzu shio ramen, shoyu ramen, and tsukemen here! I opted for the yuzu tsukemen, and I was so impressed with how the dipping broth was so light and refreshing, with the most beautiful, fragrant and unique hint of yuzu. Their noodles were also super QQ and chewy, and their egg was perfectly poached and gooey, although I wished that their chashu was a little less fatty. Overall, a super unique ramen place that is definitely worth checking out! Service can be a bit slow and understaffed here, but it's definitely worth stopping by if you're in the downtown Mountain View area!
