Agave Mexican Bistro is a standout in Mexican cooking. It offers a perfect blend of classic flavors and current culinary craftsmanship. The atmosphere strikes an enjoyable balance between elegance and comfort, making every meal special. The menu at Agave Mexican Bistro is a testament to their dedication to quality. Each dish, meticulously prepared, features fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The mole and tacos, in particular, are highlights, offering a depth of authentic and innovative flavor. The service at Agave is as outstanding as the food, with attentive and knowledgeable staff ensuring a satisfying dining experience. Whether for a casual meal or a special celebration, Agave Mexican Bistro is a culinary gem that truly shines. The food there is a tad costly, though.

After a meeting we stopped over at Mountain View. It started raining and we needed food. Found this spot and settled right in. The margarita was yumz! Perfect blend. I also ordered food from the happy hour menu. The guacamole and beef tacos. The chips were served when seated together with the salsa. I will say the guacamole was one of the best I've had. Good quality avocados. Creamy and smooth. The ambiance was good too. Not too busy when I was there but there's Spanish music playing. Interior is pleasantly decorated. The waiter was also friendly, helpful. Asked if I wanted him to take a photo of me with the food. And also told me that take.my time and stay since it's raining. It was such a pleasant experience and made my day. Thank you. I spent usd38 with tips for tacos, guacamole and margarita. That's the happy hour price.

Agave is always a hit. We take most of our guests here. Great quality of food, incredible family recipes (enjococado and quality mole), hot homemade chips that comes with a couple salsa types, actual quality vegetable/vegetarian options, good tequila selection, nice service, and i could go on and on! We love the patio too, and almost always can sit right away.As a celiac in a family of celiacs/gluten sensitive folks, it's awesome that the chips are gluten free which isn't always the case. They have lots of options for people sensitive to gluten. I have eaten there fairly often for many years, and as far as i can tell, i haven't been "glutened" there. If i had any drawbacks at all, it's that sometimes service is slow due to being short staffed but honestly i see that pretty much everywhere. If you let them know about a time constraint they will kindly help out.Whenever my family comes in town, they want to go to agave!Vegetarian options: It's not just that they have vegetarian options, but that, imo, the options have good quality vegetables.Dietary restrictions: See review. Good for vegetarians and celiac/gluten sensitive.

I recently ordered a cheese quesadilla with a corn tortilla, accompanied by guacamole, sour cream, and a side of Mexican rice, amounting to $24. After tipping $3 for takeout, the total reached $27. The person who took my order seemed nice. Eager to enjoy my meal at home after a tiring day, my anticipation turned to complete sadness upon opening the box. To my surprise, I initially mistook the quesadilla for plain tortillas due to the scant amount of cheese, which was even thinner than the tortilla itself, which is very frustrating. Having no other food at home and being very hungry, I felt disheartened at the thought of spending nearly $30 on such a disappointing meal. The negligible amount of cheese was especially disheartening, looking more like a thin, soggy layer on the tortilla rather than the hearty filling I expected. I was sad to see the size of the sour cream and guacamole containers as well. This experience was not only disappointing but also unacceptable. I genuinely want a refund.

Good food, but quite expensive. Quiet during lunches, gets busy during dinners.Came here on a Friday for lunch and there were only 2 other tables. Nice spot for a quiet, quick lunch. With so many food trucks and Mexican spots around the bay area in general, not sure I'd come back to pay this price. While the burrito I got was good, I could get multiple elsewhere with the $20+ I paid. This spot is passable.

I was a long time customer and I used to like the restaurant for its relaxing atmosphere, good food and good margaritas. We came here very often since our office is close by and I took my team here many times. However, we didn't have great experience in the last few times we were there. Price is high, service was very slow, and the staff really tried hard to sell you liquor. Our last week team lunch was horrible and this would be the last time we came here. We had 17 people, arriving to the restaurant at 11:50 when the restaurant was literally empty. We started ordering few minutes past 12. Food wasn't served until 1:10pm. My boss had to leave without his food to catch a flight. Food quality was random. Burritos were just stuffed together. I feel sorry for the restaurant, but if they don't do something soon, they won't survive too long.
