Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Mountain View is a really nice movie theater that is incredibly clean and not crowded. The stadium seats are mega comfortable and recline. The picture and audio quality are great, with sound that is so loud. A strict no-talking and noise policy is really effective, where you get one warning before being escorted out, making the movie-going experience better. The staff are all really nice, fast without being distracting, and effective at minimizing distraction when they pass by; they bend down and whisper. Ordering is easy, fast, and efficient from your seat.
The food is fast food and nothing special but pretty good, especially for a movie theater, with decently priced items. The popcorn is good, and the popcorn, soda, warm cookies, and shakes are always consistent. However, the popcorn and soda are also ridiculously overpriced. The pre-show makes the movie experience so special and exciting. It is a fun spot with a mix of classic cinema and new blockbusters always on rotation. The atmosphere is good.
