Their biryanis are misleading. Ordered SPL PANEER BIRYANI. This dish is neither special or a biryani. A place naming itself “bay biryanis” you would assume they know what biryani is. This was just cooked plain rice and their leftover paneer tikka curry thrown over the rice. Suggestion: call this paneer tikka and rice meal instead of biryani! And the paneer gravy itself was not tasty.

Great place to get take out!Food is well cooked. We got the butter chicken and chicken dum biryani. Service was fast and the chicken was well seasoned, rice was cooked well. Would come back again!

A good restaurant wants to feed you good food with authentic flavors. Tried their hariyala chicken on a previous visit and found it delicious. Tried Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biriyani and Goat Curry Chettinad this time along with their roti/chapatti bread and really fragrant lassis. We ordered medium spicy but it was still on the hot side by Delhi standard so will order mild in the future. But the thing about their food is how well the flavors of spices shine through in the curries. Absolutely loved it once again. The restaurant is small (limited seating) with small service staff, but their attitude is great. Highly recommended if you are craving flavorful Indian food from Hyderabad. Best on a cool/cold evening.

1/22/23Bay Biryanis is a small Indian place near downtown Mountain View. There's only 4 tables inside the entire restaurant. We found a parking space in front and we were the only patrons in the restaurant, but there were quite a few takeout orders. The menu is a physical one or a QR code. Here's what we got:1. Palak paneer (his)2. Garlic naan (to share)3. Rice (two orders, has to be ordered separately as in it's not included with your entree)4. Chili chicken biryani (mine)5. Samosas (you only get two)The samosas came out first. They tasted spicy, but good; crunchy exterior and soft filling. I would get these again. I'm personally not a fan of palak paneer but Zach said it tasted good. The chicken biryani was tender and not dry. There was an uneven amount of chicken versus rice and I didn't care for the raw onion slices. The garlic naan was super oily compared to other naan I have eaten at other restaurants. Overall, it's a good spot if you need your fix for Indian cuisine.

I am not over exaggerating when I say this has to be the best curry spot in the Bay Area possibly even North America in my honest opinion .Today I literally drove from SF just to experience greatness once more .

No frills mom & pop Indian food. Hit the spot for our craving. Food was fresh and well spiced. Forgot to take pictures of the food because we were so hungry! Ordered the chili paneer, egg 65 and special chicken biryani. Had enough for leftovers that evening and it was even better than at the shop. 10/10 recommended!

Horrible food.......yuck. Atmosphere terrible, service a joke. No high chairs or booster seats, no ice. The list just doesn't end. And the price was outrageous for what we had as far as quality or ambiance....ridiculous. ok the ONLY good thing was parking.
Don’t be fooled by the exterior of this place as the food is absolutely delicious! It is possibly the best Indian I have ever had.
