Although looking at the menu, it seems to be a rather ordinary hotel menu, if you try the dishes, this is cooking of a very high order. The fine hand of the two chefs involved (one from Michelin Starred Chez TJ and the other from SF's beloved Maverick) results in innovative and delicious takes, not always reflected in the menu verbiage. The wine list is extremely well-chosen and the wine service and knowledge superb.
Nice classy interior with a fireplace but the menu options are extremely limited. The small plates that we ordered were tiny but good flavor. Service was the problem. A glass of Lemonade is $6.50 but comes in a glass that is 80% ice then there are no free refills - 6ish ounces to go with your $60 meal is unreasonable. When I asked for a refill, the waiter scoffed that it was a “fancy restaurant” so it isn't free. When I countered that organic lemonade is widely available for $6 or less a half gallon (64 ounces) they grudgingly brought out another 6 ounces. If I'm spending $150+ for 2 people to dine, I don't want to be nickle and dimed. To not be parched during your meal you would need to spend $30+ on juice! Less ice in the drinks or to allow 2 refills are simple ways to improve the dining experience so that you don't have the bitter taste of being ripped off spoil your appetite.
Our first time at Broma and it was great! James, our server, is a real pro: knowledgeable and unobtrusive. The menu is very multicultural. I had the chicken liver mousse - delicious! Then the very yummy chicken sandwich. My husband had the tasty crab dip and then the lamb ragout with pappadelle! Outstanding. We had no room for dessert. It's a perfect place before a concert at Shoreline. We will return.
Great ambiance, quality food, welcoming staff. Very much recommended!

Food was ok, but not great. The crudo tacos were the best part of our meal. The melon salad was interesting but not quite a hit. The halibut was pretty bad. It was under-cooked, which would have been ok if the fish was fresh, but it wasn't. The service was definitely not up to par.
The best part is the atmosphere, for sure! The bar is very lively and the dining area is nicely tucked away in the back, near the pool, and had a beautiful fireplace. So cozy and inviting, like someone’s really nice house. The food would be extraordinary if only they weren’t so heavy handed with the salt. Holy crap! Soooooo salty! The mussels, delicious but overly salty. The cold noodle salad with flank steak, delicious but way too salty. The papardele with lamb was delicious, but overly salted. Bummer. But love the service and love the ambiance.

It's shocking that this restaurant exists so close to what's otherwise a public restaurant wasteland. It's a hip and happening space, but it's not a restaurant to my liking. There's very very very little to eat for people who don't eat mammals. I went for a large business dinner and everyone else I think truly enjoyed the food.

The food is among the best anywhere in the Bay Area. The service is impeccable at every level of the experience.

We had a great night away from the kids, staying at the hotel, having a nice dinner at Broma and enjoying a quiet coffee in the morning next to the fireplace. There was a country concert going on at shoreline so a bit of a louder crowd than usual but made for good people watching.
Food was incredible. Service was ok, not bad in any way, but not exceptional. Price was a bit high but expected. Drinks were above average.
The food is so good! local melon 🍈 salad is must try. Steaks 🥩 and Mussels are also yum 😋

A-level place. Been 3 times. Food was a B+ this day, but more because of how / what we ordered. Our server was excellent & personable. The ceiling probably needs some noise-absorption materials.
Always great returning to Broma. Looks like their recent menu revamped to include more Mains than Appetizers. I miss having more tapas options, but food was good. Personally loved the "pork" appetizer, and would love the recipe for it!! Dessert couldve been better- both the Ube mochi cake and Calamansi cake felt a little dense. A little surprised by the automatically applied service fee (we were a group of 3). All in all though, good food and vibes, though a littlw pricey
