Fantastic local find! Food was delicious, very affordable for the area, atmosphere was cozy and clean, service was great. Will definitely be going back a lot!

Ordered the gobi paratha and saag. Both were good. Gursimran and Yuvraj were both fantastic with their service. Love that they are using compostable take out containers which don't have the PFA lining inside. Bathroom was wet and bit mucky so that is something they should look into.

The food at Chaat Bhavan is good as usual. However, the service we received from Sukhdeep was exceptional. I would rate it as the best experience I've ever had at an Indian restaurant. She was attentive, listened to what we were asking and suggested what we should try. Were it not for her suggestions, we would have ordered what we normally order. But the dishes she suggested were indeed very good that it has expanded our choices for future visits. Thank you Sukhdeep.

The house thaali was fantastic. 2 currys, 2 dals, 2 rotis, 2 desserts, raita, salad, rice plus a drink (Chai/Chaas) at lunch. Everything was great and the price was shocking - only $12.99 !!! Hidden gem in the Bay area.

Love the chana masala here! Service and food is better than the sunnyvale branch.
Also they have a vegan dessert option which is rare for an Indian restaurant.
The kokum based drink is also a must try.

Food is good but service is poor. Have been here multiple times and each time there was a lot of delay in food getting served. We ordered one of the dish and they did not let us know it wasn't available. They came back much later saying that particular item is not available with no apology.

I’ve always had great experiences with other Chaat Bhavan locations, so I came to the Mountain View one with high expectations. Unfortunately, the food didn’t meet the same standard this time. I ordered Poori and Methi Paratha, and both had no salt, which made them very bland and disappointing. I really hope this location can match the quality and consistency that Chaat Bhavan is known for, because I do love their food. Hoping for a better experience next time!

I ordered the Chur Chur Naan with Dal Makhani and it was not worth the price. I paid $17.99 plus tax, and the naan they served was not chur chur naan. It was small, flat and looked more like a lacha paratha. When I asked about it, the staff member was rude and simply said, “They are two, not one,” instead of listening to my concern. Chur chur naan is supposed to be flaky, crushed and tandoor-made, but this was nothing like that. The portion size and the service both felt disappointing. I left feeling like I did not get what I paid for.

Went there for a quick chat dinner on Oct 31, 2025. The dahi puri was soggy and just fell from the hand when picked it. They replaced it after complaining.
Everything else we ordered was completely tasteless. Avocado Jhamuri didn’t have much of avocados. Paneer ghotala had no taste. Completely bland. No spice. No salt.
When complained about it, they said their Chef was on leave today after being stressed out with Diwali orders.
