We were so excited to try this place we ordered a little of everything. We ordered catfish, fried chicken, chicken strips, fried shrimp, fries, collards, biscuits, mac and cheese, red velvet cake and pecan pie.

We were the only customers in the restaurant and it took 30 min to get our food. We were thinking this is going to be fantastic!

NOPE! The thin breading fell off the catfish when you tried to eat it. The chicken thigh & leg were very small but tasted good (not great), the chicken strips were bland and you had to pay extra for sauce. They shorted us 1 shrimp (we ordered 6 and got 5). The fries were batter dipped (yuk). We even asked the lady if they were batter dipped and she said no, you are going to love them.

The collards were so hot we couldn't eat them (after choking they went in the trash), the biscuits were meh, the mac and cheese was so over cooked it was like mush with coagulated cheese.

The red velvet cake was super dry and the icing on top was so thin you could see the cake color coming through. The pecan pie was gummy and the crust was way over cooked. I can't believe we wasted so much money on this meal. Definitely not worth it.

Solid fried chicken, was very juicy and the fries and biscuit were amazing. I opted for the white meat and shrimp combo, I'd probably skip the shrimp next time (they were good but it was so much food), think the meal and a drink was 27 and change.

Will definitely be back, don't suggest eating inside though it's a bit small and very warm inside.

Red beans and rice was spicy.
Collard greens was spicy and too vinegary. Catfish wasn't fried long enough,it still had a fishy taste. Chicken wasn't seasoned. I wouldn't eat their again

Ordered the 8 pc wings meals though Doordash. This was toooo salty. Not just for me but for anyone this was way too salty that it was inedible. The biscuit was not even cooked.

Catfish and chicken are cooked perfectly. Fries are too hard and biscuits are too sweet for me. Collards were disappointing. Mac and cheese is ok but I've had better (and I make better). As a Back-a-Yard fan I had higher expectations but the proteins are on point and I will continue to come here for that. Gonna try taking the chicken home and putting it on fonio and see how that goes.

Catfish and chicken or shrimp, red beans and rice, collard greens and french fries, the food is served hot fresh, staff is friendly professional and the food is delicious. Highly recommend this place it's just a little spot right off the main Street El Camino.

Bought the seafood meal. It comes with pieces of yummy shrimp, catfish, biscuit, and fries. I chose a piece of lemon cake for dessert ♡

Best fried chicken around. Seasoned to the bone, juicy, and tasty through and through. We got chicken tenders and ordered extra sauces (honey mustard and BBQ sauce). Both sauces were extremely tasty! The biscuit was crazy good. The fries were crispy and tasty as well. Overall, it's a lot of food for the money!! And the flavors did not disappoint. Look forward to going back and ordering different things from the menu!

Fried chicken was very juicy and seasoned to the bone, just like their slogan. The biscuit they gave was also fluffy and moist, no water required to get that down.

However, I am a little confused because I was looking most forward to the fries. The other reviews and their menu show a type similar to the ones you get at Popeyes. What I got were crinkle-cut. While they were fried fine and salted, I was a little let down.
Hope to be back soon to try other items.
