// T A K E O U T O R D E R |1| Sizzling Mix Mushroom w/ Egg Tofu The egg tofu was delish! It was sauteed perfectly and so soft on the inside. The accompanying sauce had great flavor. |2| Sauteed Pea Shoots Average. Pea shoots didn't seem as fresh and they were a bit over-cooked. Too soft. No crunch. |3| Peking Pork Chop Hard to go wrong with sauced fried pork. This was delicious. Sweet and tangy. |4| Yang Chow Fried Rice This was honestly the most disappointing dish we ordered. Rice was dry, meat was dry. // P R I C E S Although the food is pretty good, it comes with a pretty steep price especially for Chinese food. I'm not sure it's worth the high prices. // O T H E R C O M M E N T S I really appreciate how the to-go containers were clearly labeled. All of our dishes were pretty easy to distinguish. They provided fortune cookies and salted peanuts in addition to chopsticks + forks.

It's been over 10 years we haven't travel up north and seems like everything changed. Cooking Papa is not what it's used to taste anymore. First of all, it's to go only, well we do understand as everyone probably still very concerned about the pandemic, find so we ordered anyway. We ordered Beijing Duck and it's not even a Beijing Duck but just a "Roast duck" with a bun hahaha, skin is not even crispy & the meat still together with the skin so how can it called Beijing Duck. The bun is very tiny/ small and hard, such as you buy from frozen grocery store So we quite disappointed and we heard they sold it as they move

Food is decent with a good selection. But we do hope they can offer options with less oil and salt. They may try to cater for different preferences in that area where there are more non-Cantonese people. So their sauce and flavors are heavier than typical Cantonese food.

Omg! First time to try their food. I ordered through Uber eats because yelp did not give me an option to browse for more Chinese food location. I have been ordering almost thrice every week and I would always come across to certain restaurants that are totally a waste of money. BUT this one! Was superb. From packaging, quality of food, condiments, speed and of course taste! The freshness and the way they present their food is totally amazing. You could tell that they made it to satisfy your expectations and hunger! I will dine in and order again! Thankyou for the peanuts too.

Give it 4.5 out of 5The salted egg lobster is amazing! But the Peking duck is more like Cantonese roast duck lol

4.5 stars rounded up. Some items here are really good (salted egg lobster, fried ribs). Peking duck is ok but more like regular roasted duck. A little on the pricey side. Summary: how good it is depends on what you order.

Update: thank you for the response! I didn’t know about door dash. Perhaps I’ll give Uber eats another try. Please add back Door Dash. I ordered from Uber Eats since you no longer work with DD and my order was never delivered. :(

The beef chow fun was very good - not greasy. I ordered via DoorDash and it was still good after being delivered.

We had eaten at a cooking papa a decade ago and didn't like the food but friends said perhaps we didn't order the right dishes. They liked the Santa Clara one which had closed so we were encouraged to try again. They specifically said the cha siu is great but hadn't eaten at this location since the pandemic. We all agreed this was the absolute worse chinese meal we have ever had, and we, being Chinese, seek out every Chinese restaurant in town. The meal was inedible , not just lacking in flavor but unrecognizable as to what they were supposed to be. Worse of all was the sizzling chicken in clay pot, a messy jumble of chopped up bones and very little meat on them. It did not even look or taste like chicken, purely disgusting. The cha siu lacked flavor, sliced soggy meat. It made us question where they source their ingredients and what is in the dishes. The prices are comparable to the best Chinese restaurants, how can they get away with this? There are many better options in town.

Helllaaaa greasy, in one of the pics attached you can see all the oil at the bottom of the bowl :/ We ordered salt & pepper fish, pork chops, chicken and string beans, and beef chow fun. The taste of the fish and chicken were good, but the chicken / string beans was way too oily. The pork chop was mostly breading which was disappointing. And the chow fun was fine, nothing special. The portions are generous so I can see why their takeout business is so busy!

I was craving chow fun and decided to try this Chinese place after scrolling though DoorDash options. We ordered beef chow fun, honey walnut shrimp, and a 2 meat BBQ platter with pork and duck. The food arrived hot and well packaged in sturdy plastic containers in a sealed bag. The DoorDash prices were rather high compared to typical Chinese restaurants, but the large portions made it an acceptable cost. They were great about following my request for no bean sprouts in the chow fun. The chow fun was well cooked with a decent portion of beef and I liked that it wasn't too oily, but it was a bit bland and could have used more salt. Luckily I had some soy sauce at home which fixed it. The honey walnut shrimp was standard and delicious, I really liked that they put the candied walnuts in a separate compartment so they didn't get soggy. The pork belly was delicious, the skin was still relatively crisp and meat was lean without being dry. However the duck was dry and bland, I wouldn't order it again. The platter came with 3 different sauces which provided a nice variety. Overall this was a pretty good Chinese place, it's above average and I would order from here next time I have a craving. Though most dishes could use a bit more salt, nothing a bit of soy sauce couldn't fix and I appreciate that it well cooked and not oily. Our delivery even came with peanuts and fortune cookies.

Ordered the crab fried rice and chicken chow mein and no flavor, chicken was dry. Very disappointed. We also got the shrimp won ton soup and it was very salty. What a waste of money $50

Such a decent place for HongKong cuisine! Fish soup is so yummy that my eyebrows start dancing.
