Great food, great place. Delicious dishes like Firewood pizzas and eggplant parmigiana. If you want a romantic dinner choose tables outdoor as the noise level inside is really high when it is busy.
Crowded and noisy on a Friday night. Service was perfunctory. Pizza was OK but somewhat soggy. They forgot to bring out our dessert order, and the waiter didn't apologize when he fixed the problem.
The place was hopping on a Wednesday night. The service was very good as was the food. They asked about special events (a birthday), but didn't provide any enhancement related to it.
3 of us ate there two nights ago and lthis evening. Food is delicious. Seafood pasta and seafood soup are both fresh and very good. Wild boar pasta has to s of flavor. Wine by the glass is fairly priced with a good selection. My two nieces had cocktails which they found really yummy. Service was excellent. Food appeared quickly in spite of the restaurant's popularity. Waitstaff was professional and yet very personable. Portions are large and prices are low considering the quality
We came here during the lunch rush so it was a bit loud, but we could still hear each other. Overall the experience was good, but this is the second time I've been to Doppio and the food was bit bland. Last time I had a pizza and it was ok and this time I have the pork pasta dish and found it lacked notable flavor. The service was great!
The Doppio Zero Pizza will change your life!
We would go back to this good restaurant except for the incredible noise by the time we finished eating and left. We arrived early at 5 pm for dinner and all was very nice until the restaurant started to fill up later in our meal. By the time we finished a good dinner the restaurant was so loud that it hurt, and we hurried to get out.
Loved the food especially the gnocchi(ordered it twice cause yum) and tiramisu!

It was okay here. We came with really high expectations but it was average. The owner of the place is very nice and courteous. He was friendly and greeted us with a smile.
The waiter was not too friendly. We started with some drinks like lemonade and unsweetened tea. For mains they had this eggplant melanzane alla Parmigiana and I ordered that. It was good but nothing that is out of ordinary. Also my husband ordered a pizza. He really wanted to substitute sausages for pepperoni but they weren’t ready to do any substitutions. Even in the calzones they don’t do any substitutions. I felt that was a little weird because pizza is one dish were you must be able to substitute whatever toppings you like. For dessert we tried their chocolate cake and Tiramisu. It was okay. Tiramisu had way too much mascarpone cheese and less coffee and lady fingers.
Vegetarian options: The main problem is they don’t substitute but they do have many vegetarian choices. Taste is okay.

A wonderful place, exceptional and excellent service, kind and loving staff, it was not missing. As an Italian I have to say that it is the best place to eat Italian food because it was exquisite. Bravi bravi!

A group of friends came for dinner and, from the first moment, they treated us exceptionally. The manager, Salvador, made sure we were comfortable. The food was exceptional and so was the service. We will return without a doubt.

Vegans and vegetarians and folks with allergies : double check your dishes. They served me the non-vegan ravioli despite me being super clear about it, luckily I noticed very quickly. They're just another busy place on Castro street and burning through customers as fast as they can. I wouldn't choose to eat here on my own.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan options clearly indicated. Not many and make sure they bring you the right thing.

Wonderfully situated. I walked through a European alleyway on a long day at work. At day turned to dusk I was ready for a nice pasta and vino. The atmosphere of the room was intoxicating as I took my seat. I met with my office mates and had a little chit chat and then ordered..I asked the waiter to help me choose between the steak or pasta choice.and took his suggestion. Unfortunately the meal wasn't very good. I wish I had received better attention from the staff generally. Also they tried to seat too many people at our table and it was crammed
