This is the best Chinese restaurant imho. I might be biased for the wonderful dinners with friends in grad school but the fish soup is out of the world for a reason: typical Chinese food overdoses on MSG but here you can trust the recipe and drink the delicious soup without feeling thirsty afterwards! The marinated seafood appetizer is also a must try!!

Not authentic
Superb authentic Chinese food. Most other low ratings complain about price and authenticity of the food. Come here if you want good food and good environment. Great for meeting friends or business meals.

The dishes are pricey while pretty tasty, but some waiter is rather arrogant and unfriendly. No wonder its business become slower, even during lunch time.

I used to come here a lot but this will be my last visit. The young waitress missed the coconut chicken we ordered. We ended up only eating vegetables. Another waiter didn’t offer any apology for the shop’s mistake. The food has heavy salt and oil, far from what it used to taste 2-3 years ago. In short, we spent 50+ dollars per person for super average vegetables.

There are shrimp threads in the shrimp, and we are talking about yin and yang because we have never eaten crystal shrimp in the United States. There are so many people going to the shrimp line, and their attitude is very bad.

Taste okay. Poor service. Over priced.
Service is not good. Employees are not present and difficult to understand
Menus and ordering are complicated for no reason.
Really noisy and hard to hear.
In terms of food
Ginger fried pork appetizer. Taste great, perfect level of spice. Warm, not oily. There wasn't any form of dipping sauce which I thought was weird.
Short rib appetizer. Really good, little tough but a flavor I've never had before.
The food was dispersed weirdly and came out staggered. They let me order a lunxh item but Lunch items are only available on weekdays, How are you going to have a digital menu that doesn't remove items that aren't available? So I just didn't get to have an entree which killed the whole experience.
Overall pretty disappointed, won't be back.

The environment is beautiful, clean and hygienic, and the most important thing is that the food is really delicious! ! I have ordered shredded eel and bullfrog with perilla in other restaurants before, but the taste was a bit inferior. This one is really good! !

I drove by this place before, looked at the review and then checked out the menu and decided it's too expensive and not sure what the identity or the style of cuisine was so I decided not to try.Until a group of friends wanted to try it so we did.It turned out much better than expected.Black pepper steak - Sweet and soy sauce pan grilled the tender steak engulf in black pepper sauce actually taste really good.Winter melon in the pot - Spicier then expected for a veggie dish. Not bad.Fried pork - Probably the one dish that was a good deal. As an appetizer, its portion was big. Flavor is good but you will need to like cumin since it powdered with it after frying them.Shanghai veggie rice - this rice was done very well. Not too oily and good combo ratio on veggie and bacon.Still felt it's bit overpriced. And the lack the identity of cuisine it is will also impacted the future popularity of this restaurant. The chef was from San Tung but it didn't have the typical San Tung dishes like 乾烹雞or 炸醬麵. At least some of the Shanghai dishes were done well.Nevertheless, still pricey.
