I drove by this place before, looked at the review and then checked out the menu and decided it's too expensive and not sure what the identity or the style of cuisine was so I decided not to try.Until a group of friends wanted to try it so we did.It turned out much better than expected.Black pepper steak - Sweet and soy sauce pan grilled the tender steak engulf in black pepper sauce actually taste really good.Winter melon in the pot - Spicier then expected for a veggie dish. Not bad.Fried pork - Probably the one dish that was a good deal. As an appetizer, its portion was big. Flavor is good but you will need to like cumin since it powdered with it after frying them.Shanghai veggie rice - this rice was done very well. Not too oily and good combo ratio on veggie and bacon.Still felt it's bit overpriced. And the lack the identity of cuisine it is will also impacted the future popularity of this restaurant. The chef was from San Tung but it didn't have the typical San Tung dishes like 乾烹雞or 炸醬麵. At least some of the Shanghai dishes were done well.Nevertheless, still pricey.

+ High quality food. We ordered fried rice, picked fish soup and garlic ribs. All amazing. Thin sliced and tender fish fillets. Juicy ribs and well seasoned fried rice.+ Good service.+ The traditional Chinese style decoration was very elegant.- Quite expensive. Most major dishes are 30-50. The portions are large though.- A minor suggestion for the restaurant owner. The napkins are so tiny and so thin that it is almost unusable.

The food was delicious and came promptly. The waitress was attentive and answered all our questions patiently while ordering. We had a great time dining here.We really recommend 上海菜飯 (Shanghai style pork and veggie fried rice) and 醃篤鮮 (YanDuXan)

Definitely one of the best Chinese food I've had in the States! Strongly recommend their Pepper Chicken Soup w Pork Stomach, Shanghai Bacon Bok Choy Rice, and Shanghai Style Sliced Yellow Eel :)) Everything was good except being pricey

The most expensive Asian restaurant I ever been. One fish dish costs $98 , crazy. We ordered 椰子鸡, waited for over an hour , what a disappointment with this restaurant!!!! Will not come back , either should you guys.

Pricier-than-average newer Chinese restaurant that offers some regional specialties I hadn't seen elsewhere, one of those places you need to know what to order to fully enjoy.Must get: “心太软”, literally translates into "Heart Too Soft" (hallowed jujubes stuffed with sweet glutinous rice mochi), one of my favorite nostalgic appetizers from every larger family gathering while growing up in Shanghai, and my first time finding this dish in the Bay. Embrace Luck puts a spin on this dish by pan frying the mochi a bit and adding osmanthus.Yellow eel was a bit too oily, coconut chicken soup was too bland.Instagram: TianTianEats

Rotten eel fish and the manager was rude and refused to refund. Poor service and rotten food. Avoid at all cost.

食物腥腐,人生第一次报警911.Called 911 for foul food the first time of my life. Eel fish was foul and tastes like rotten. Complained to manager and he said there has been numerous complaints on their eel fish food source already, and they will not do anything about it!In the end, we called 911 on the spot. It is a public hazard in our opinion.
