Nestled in the heart of Mountain View, this charming gelateria offers a delicious variety of flavors. My favorite was Honey Lavender. The texture was impeccable, perfectly creamy and refreshing. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, feels like a portal into the 60s. Whether you're a gelato connoisseur or simply seeking a sweet escape, Gelato Classico is sure to satisfy.Parking: Castro is blocked off to cars so you have to park far away and walk. But there are plenty of free lots.

Really creamy, smooth, and not too sweet gelato! Loved the spumone flavor.
Gelato Classico is a popular Italian ice creamery that has delectable ice creams that come in varying cones, cone bowls, and paper cups. I like the “Chocolate Covered Strawberries” flavor which is a combination of smooth strawberry ice cream and crunchy chocolate chips. The main draw of Gelato Classico may be its diverse selection. For instance, you can get flavors like “Spumone”, “Tiramisu”, and surprisingly “Ginger”. You’d basically get value with each visit if you enjoy unique flavors. It’s important to note that its popularity means that the space itself can get crowded quickly. There is no space to eat indoors, but there are plenty of seats outside. In short, I would come back, the ice cream itself was smooth, flavorful, and this spot has lots of unique flavors that I’d want to test out.

Classic and tasty gelato in Downtown Mountain View. How convenient. How problematic if you have a sweet tooth! Their pumpkin gelato is spiced so well, just like a decadent pumpkin pie. And BTW, their Blueberry Pie is delicious as well! Unique flavors? For sure! Like? Ginger and Chocolate Covered Strawberry!

Reliable tasty gelato place. The flavors are bomb. You can't go wrong with this place. In our rotation of things to do when in Mountain View.

Good taste Gelato ice cream. A wide range of selections. Just a bit too pricey for me maybe common here because I am not based in the Bay Area. $9 for 4 scoops

The affogato is AMAZING! Ice cream are usually too sweet for me, but with that espresso, it balances out perfectly.

Overpriced and low quality ice cream. Really surprised no good competitors have emerged on Castro Street given Palo Alto has an ice cream shop every few blocks.
Lychee Gelato. Enough said.Delicious and so satisfying. Also, small is an actual small l like how it should be. Like this place!

Good ice cream. Came here because they used to have the taste-before-purchase, but they don’t do that due to Covid-19, which is understandable.Nevertheless, the store is still packed with customers that they have to draw a line on the floor for customers to follow. It’s a small store and small door, so sometimes you xan bump into someone.Service was rushed, and because there were so many people, I couldn’t hear the server many times. We had to shout at each other to converse.Still, the ice cream is good and the staff was not rude, so 4 stars. Not outstanding ice cream but the experience was good enjoyable ?I got 4 flavors in a cup and it was amusing watching the staff smashing the ice cream into it. That was the fullest ice cream cup I have ever had.

You know you had a good gelato when u truly tasted the ingredients. I had lychee and dark chocolate omg so good. Especially the lychee flavor, like eating a real one but in gelato form. I finished the cup right outside the store saying silently to every single person that passed by the shop “you are missing out something really good!”

We grabbed dinner with friends on a Thursday evening and were looking for a dessert spot to come to afterwards. We came across this cute little gelato shop in DTMV and I'm so glad we did. Service was quick even as a small line started to form. We were able to taste test flavors prior to ordering, which I really appreciated.I ended up ordering their honey lavender flavor. It was really good. I love how their gelato was super creamy and the floral lavender taste wasn't overpowering at all. Their serving size in a sugar cone is definitely smaller! My group ordered a single/double scoop in cups and it came out more than mine that was on the sugar cone.
